Orchestrion Refusal

I just got an Orchestrion for our FC house and I have purchased the blank rolls and also have a lot of music. However, when any of us attempts to use the Orchestrion, it doesn't recognize the music. And any attempt to fix the music to the blank rolls doesn't work. Can anyone explain how you attach the music to the blank rolls and then put it in and use the Orchestrion?

You need to get the Faded copy of the songs, craft them via ALC with the appropriate blank roll and other materials such as ink, then use it on yourself like you would a minion when you acquire a new one. Please note, that only the player that uses the song has access to playing the song through the Orchestrion. Nobody else can unless they get their own copies of the song.

Blank Rolls are Crafting materials used to turn the weathered rolls into the songs. You then use the Crafted roll in your inventory as you would a Triple Triad card or minnion and it will be added to Your Ocestorn list. Emphasis on YOUR because all players must unlock songs individualy.

Though as long as they have permission, an FC member can play a song for the FC even if no one else owns it. But if it's changed then they will have to add it back to replay it.

Two things need to be mentioned here which are actually separate from each other but are all connected to using the Orchestrion. Firstly, music you gain can only be selected by you yourself, as each person has their own separate song list they collect. Think of it as a music track list on your ipod, albeit one you cannot share with anyone else. So even though you might have a particular track, say, Primal Judgement, someone else may not have this track and will not be able to select it on the Orchestrion, where as you can because you possess this track. If you set it playing on the orchestrion however, everyone in that room will be able to hear it, regardless if they have this track or not (and will continue to hear it until someone changes it to a different track).

Secondly (and this is probably more likely the cause of your issue), is that when an orchestrion is added to a FC house, it becomes like any other furnishing that has a function like the company chest or armorie, in that the FC owner/leader has to then allow members to be able to use it based on their FC membership rank in the FC membership settings. So it's likely your FC leader has just forgotten (or perhaps not even realized) that they need to allow FC member access to it.
