Will we get more retainers at some point?

It's not much really and the money goes to a good cause. Thats how I look at it because I love this game so much. We have bags to keep at least 1 completely separate set of gear for everything DoW/DoM/DoH/Dol. There's the armour if i'm spelling that right that holds seasonal, promotional, quest items.

There's more of a bonus too than just more inventory space. You get to marketboard more things and you can make several million gil quickly from retainer ventures. Selling minions, materials, and materia and with the 18 hour venture they bring back 3000 or 3500 gil of allagan pieces each time.

Get 1 more and if you don't need it later or the next month. When you cancel paying for that retainer it still keeps everything, gil, items, levels, gear. So you can long term storage stuff like that if it comes to it stuff a retainer full and the next month cancel it till you need that storage stuff again.

That is your mistake, with all due respect.
You need to look at it from a customer standpoint and from that, it is really a bad thing.
Just like selling DLC for 5€ that contains one weapon for <insert free to play game>..
We pay a subscription and it should include sufficient banking space to manage all the stuff you get.

Not me personally, but I know people who don't pay for retainers and have plenty of space (even with crafting and such). It's more a matter of figuring out what you need and ditching the rest. The game is perfectly playable without paying for retainers.
