Totem exchange for Primal EX mounts.

Because I've been farming Ravana non-stop since patch 3.2 came out and I have only seen it drop once.

This is getting a little ridiculous. There is one person on my server that I see farming regularly that has almost 600 Hive totems and he has yet to get the Ravana mount.

So, a suggestion: For the new bird mounts (Bismark, Ravana, Thordan, Sephirot), you can exchange totems for their respective mount. That way, if you're having bad luck with the drop or if you're losing the rolls, you can at least trade in the totems for the mount that you want. I was thinking 99 totems for 1 mount, similar to needing 99 brass spoils for the Pegasus mount. Give us SOMETHING to save up these totems for, because other than glamour, the weapons (besides the Sephirot ones) are useless.

I do support this idea, even if the number of turn-ins is larger than 99 (for example you need 10 tokens and each is 20 totem worth, that is 200 totems in total), still it won't feel a waste investing time running the extreme primals/eikons because the prize will accumulate in the end. (thumbs up!).

I think it's fine the way it is. It's more exciting when one does drop because of how rare it is.

I agree that it is totally exciting when one drops, but it's also incredibly frustrating and irritating after you've spent hours farming for it and you don't win it. Especially when you've seen it more than once and you just get really crappy rng... Meanwhile you have hundreds of totems sitting useless in your retainer's inventory, lol. Either that or they all get tossed.

I'm at 134 runs of Ravana and I've seen two birds; I brought the same idea up to my FC mates and they agreed. I would be all for having the turn in amount be something like 200, because at least that way no one can accuse them of "handing out" birds. I've had people in party say they saw 6 birds in 67 runs, and yet here I am at two after 100+. I get it's supposed to be rare and an achievement, but I feel like for whatever reason Ravana's drop rate is kind of ridiculous. I've yet to try Thordan or Sephirot so I can't really speak on those drops.

Wait like 6 month and they will drop like candy, JUst look how easy is to get a pony. Also to add to the idea, instead of a token system i would like the minimun ilvl fight to have a 1 garantee mount drop.

It's pure RNG, honestly. Rather than farm for hours expecting a drop, break it up. Farm an hour here, an hour there, and make sure to start party finders with strict requirements so that you get several clean, quick clears. When I PF on the weekend I set a high iLevel, set it up for single tank/single heal, and state that we're clearing before Swift Liberation. If we don't, then I disband.

Bismarck requirements are less strict, but you still need a good party for multiple quick clears and again, solo heal if you can manage it.

I'm frustrated because getting a competent Thordan party together on my server is near impossible.

I feel like that Bismark bird drops like candy. I see multiple farm parties for it every day, while I'm lucky if Ravana (as well as Thordan) have 1 party recruiting every day. I have also tried forming parties myself, but they never fill.

Apparently a couple of nights ago one of my FC mates saw two birds drop in Ravana in 10 runs. I've seen two drop in 70 runs. This makes no sense to me?? RNG sucks so hard.

Or, instead of increasing the drop rate, they can implement the totem turn-in system. That way you still have to take the time to get them, but they don't seem so impossible to obtain. Right now all of those totems are either being stored or discarded. Seems like a huge waste of hours of my time.

I actually farmed Ravana for 5-6 hours last night. Great dps, solo tank/heal. ONE bird dropped. It's difficult to stop after an hour when you want a mount that badly and there's only 1 way to get it. It would be easier to farm for an hour here n there if I knew that I would be getting rewarded for my hours of work in the end. With the system the way it is now,it's impossible to predict when your work is going to pay off.
