how not to view a summoner

I will clarify for people, this post of her's is in response to a post I made here:

Where I made the point that summoner should be more about the pet rather than the summoner and how MMO's have changed pet classes for (in my opinion) the worse by turning pets in to nothing more than a glorified dot. The OP is saying that if it did that (a summoner calling forth the actual large version of the primal) Titan (as an example) would be too powerful and Summoner would be a super class. Completely missing the point of what I was trying to say but deciding to make this thread saying that summoner will never be about actually summoning things and any other version would be too strong. Pretty sure the OP's first language is not english either.

My main point though is that if we were to get a new pet class, I would personally want the class to focus on the pet, I'm tired of pet class design making them nothing but a DoT you occasionally manage.

As long as they don't make enormous view-blocking pets I don't care what they do with summoner.

If it has enormous pets that block my view, I'll just run with black mages instead.

Personally I agree! I believe that Summoners should not be viewed as Summoners because Summoners actually summon Summons. But Summoners only summon Egi which aren't Summons somewhat so Summoners seem like something different. So Summoners shouldn't be seen as Summoners until they summon something summonable that shows as a Summon, so until Summoners summon Summons, Summoners should be named something else.

It's pretty clear. Title says how to not view a summoner, then it gives two examples where people praise the summoner. Logical conclusion? OP is saying we should not praise summoners.

summoner summon titan in the full titan he destroy every mobs. the party cheer, people leave ffxiv because summoner a uberfied, and there is no good job balance.

summoner work with her party to defeat mob and boss mob she help aid her party with her summon and her dot. party cheers because they together work to take a big bad mean boss.

example one of summoner is how most players want the summoner to be to less or great detail.

i sorry i have writting disability i just find we have unrealistic look at summoner. of ffxi, this view is summoner unbalance for ffxiv and cause problem, i think best view to have of the summoner is more the yuna view of summoner. yuna wasn't just summoner she the healer of party in ffx.

While I believe I understand what you say now - I dont understand why thats a problem? Or why do you made this post - they wont change the whole game right now...?

Specially because the base-class for your summoner can also be a healer, called scholar - and a summoner still has healing powers, but hes just focussing on killing stuff. Also FFX and FFXIV are quite different games, with quite different functions, maybe not the best to compare when it comes to game mechanics.

my view is mmo even after launch it work in progress. so at some point yoshi p may decide that summoner need improvement or he may not. I love to see bst be pet focus tank pet where beast master is debuff the enemy with her whip. and pet tank mobs i one believe this hasn't been done success in any mmo

my reason make post point how unrealistic view summoner we have of summoner personal i felt that we need exam are view to compare it for need to bring job balance to ffxiv
