Why not make a "world" chat to fix the novice chat?

On Balmung the novice chat seems to be non-novices talking about rp, inappropriate rp, and really random stuff, with minimal help or sarcastic answers when novices ask questions. There are of course -some- helpful people. But they seem to be rare. I've experienced this both as a mentor, and as a novice on my alt (when leveling up with someone new to the game).

While I don't really have an issue with people talking to one another, it's a little bit annoying to be playing the game with your log constantly being spammed with irrelevant conversation. Further, watching people discuss their "ERP" preferences or being told that the fastest way to make gil is to offer inappropriate services seems somewhat counterproductive to keeping new players interested in the game.

Why not just make a "world" chat to replace the novice chat, and limit novice chat to helping novices only?

I'm not against a world chat but it would have to be completely thought through.

100 players in one channel wouldn't be enough to satisfy the large servers, and if there were no rules, I'm sure players would just kick eachother to invite their friends etc. If the amount of people allowed in the chat was over 100, I imagine it would get way too spammed and the chat would be flooded.

RMT and "illegally" selling plots could also happen in the chat. Some pretty strict rules would have to be put in place
just to avoid this being a flustercluck.

Could make a "World Chat" that spans all zones and a "Trade Chat" that exists only when in cities.

I wouldn't object to a global chat, but I doubt that it would fix the issues with Novice chat (unhelpful advice, inappropriate conversations, RMT spam)

All global chats in games are used for idiocy and wouldn't solve anything. It just means everyone has to suffer the same cancer that is right now only in novice chat.

Except the chat that's in Novice chat is the exact same chat that is in Shout in Idyllshire.

I haven't cared for world chat in the games I've played with it, but if it would help keep the Novice Network on target then fine. It definitely needs to be optional/turned off by default though.
