For red/blue scripts, CRP and CUL generally has the most cost effective ingredients. With the exception of certain items from other crafting classes.
I think Marron Glace (CUL) is definitely king for blue scripts - cheapest. Only problem with that is it takes time because each turn in is around 20-30 scripts.
If you have Marron Glace starred for the day, it's probably your best option.
Thanks a lot Grux, will try the Marron Glace later, once i am home :-).
I actually recommend the ALC recipes for both Red and blue scrips. On the surface, it's not the easiest one in terms of quantities of mats but the fact that every single material is Retainer farmable makes it super convenient. Moreover, the Vath beast tribes now sells half of what you're gonna need. What I do is a have my retainers PRE-Farm what i'm gonna need throughout the week. Then I just wait for a bonus day on either the Blue scrip recipes or the red scrip recipe and I just bulk craft them.
I usually last-minute cap my red-scrip in 8 to 9 crafts with that method.
I would recommend staying away from ARM, BSM and CRP (for red scrips at least) because most of those recipes require Adamantite ores which are both expensive and hard-ish to gather.
Doing this method is cost efficient and stress free. The mats pile up, and then you rake'em scrips
(Marron Glace also works well for all the same reasons but the payout in scrips is less)
Thanks a lot, i will try the ALC ones, sounds good. Bought 2 Master books with Marron Glace but it takes some time because you need a lot of them ;-)
For weaver and leatherwork blue scrips, be on lookout for days they have crafting or gathering gear on the list. Those generally have easier ingredient requirements and none of that stat essence stuff that all combat armor requires. Same goes for crafting tools actually. Same level items that on battle side would need titan ingots, for example, on craft tools want titan nuggets instead.
For red scrips, stated above, try to avoid the adamantite requiring recipes. The aurum Regis is way cheaper and easier to acquire, either through retainers or nowadays, from vath.
I actually think that is a bit unfair. Each and every level 60 material can be acquired through retainers, except adamantium. That places especially the blacksmiths and armorers to worse position.
I would disagree à little bit about Carpenter which is in fact a great way to have script
Only 1 or 2 recipe got adamantite in them
The other are really cheap to do.
Even cheaper than ALC sometime
Carpenter is what I find myself often using for red scrips, actually. They also have only few items that can appear as red scrip ones, namely birch fishing rod, birch rod(WHM arm, despite the name) or bow. Of these only the bow requires adamantite in form of rivets, which often are surprisingly cheap on MB, and almost always cheaper than adamantite nuggets at least on my server. The fishing rod is my favourite of these three.
If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.
The rivet are really cheap because wyvern and dragon map give ton of them
More more often than adamantite nugget
