I have to admit, I enjoy the positivity expressed here. I for one am trying my absolute hardest to enjoy it, but I've queued with nothing but groups who have a hard time with the mechanics. It leaves me frankly exhausted. In my personal opinion, A8 shouldn't take 2+ hours to clear.

Aside from actually running it with people, the mechanics at the core are really well done. I've never had to stay on my toes for a fight so much before. Thumbs up from me, dev team.

The music is part of what makes it great imo. The point where the last phase begins and the Gordias remix starts always makes me smile.

I like the amount of mechanics too, even though some of them were copy pasted from previous floors. I wish every floor had it's own mechanics and were as complex as A8. It's very rewarding to memorize it and help others learn. They still managed to include small dps checks which makes a nice balance between knowing rotations and the encounter itself.

Midas is just a blast in my opinion, I can't wait to go home and dive back into it today with the reset. I think this really shows the strength of incorporating good, well-developed mechanics into a fight rather than just the massive DPS checks we had before. The DPS check doesn't add anything to the fight, it doesn't really force you to be active or attentive to what is going on and really it just lets you coast through the fight which is boring. I hope SE keeps up this level of raid in the future, it's really the most enjoyment I've had in fights in a long while.
