Level 50 Lockdown after Ultima Weapon

Hello, I just finished main scenario quests, got to level 50 and defeated ultima weapon can somebody help me figure out how to remove level 50 lockdown during 7th Astral Era Quests. The main story quests give EXP but I cannot gain it. What do I have to do in or out of the game to solve this. There's no point in playing dungeons and quests if the EXP is just going all to waste.

You need to buy the expansion Heavensward in order to raise your level cap to 60.

You need to buy the expansion. I would not worry too much about it though. The main scenario before the game reaches heavensward content doesnt really get you most. It might get you up to lv 51 but that isn't really a big deal

I looked for it on playstation network but it says not available for purchase. I'm playing on playstation 3 is it of the market? so I can't continue playing?

It should be available on the playstation store to buy. Just search up Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward and you should be fine

Also, I'm still in patch 2.0 and there are a lot of quests that give EXP before heavensward until 2.55 do I need it already? even too gain experience in those quests?

you do need it to gain experience in those quests, they dont give much though. I would say it isnt really that worth it to worry about the exp from them

So it's not worth it to buy the expansion. Still have the problem of getting the Heavensward. There are two versions in Playstation Network and they both say not available for purchase, I just checked again. Is it the same for you guys and it's maybe a temporary thing or maybe a region thing?

Are you using a disc copy of the game or the downloaded version from PSN? IIRC, you if you have the physical copy you'll need a physical version of the expansion. I could also be incorrect on that as I play PC :þ

This has been an issue since HW release.


Try taking the free trial from the store. It won't work but it fixes something in PSN's backend and will allow you to buy HW.
