New Roulette

Since I'm sure so many of us would like the Orchestrion Music from all the Crystal Tower raids, What would you think about SE adding in a new roulette for the alliance raids (Labyrinth of the Ancients, Syrcus Tower, and World of Darkness)

If any of you have been trying to get into these raids, I'm sure you know the struggle of waiting on the queue to pop, no matter what job you're on. Then when you do get in people don't know what to do or are trolling. Adding in a roulette for these raids would bring in more serious players who understand mechanics and are willing to teach first timers.

They're on Mentor Roulette, in theory. Part of the stated goal of Mentor Roulette is to help fill queues for content that's having a hard time filling otherwise, though I haven't personally wound up in a tower raid from this yet. (Probably because there are so many more queues firing for other content.) Between that and the exp reward for the bosses now, it would seem like things should be a little better. Has anyone noticed a real difference?

I would support a roulette specifically for these though.

I did queue to them on Sunday on Phoenix (datacenter Chaos) And got in to LoA and WoD both with about half an hour in queue which is about the same as a dungeon queue can take at times. That might be Sunday special though, seems there's been multiple initiatives to make Sundays a Crystal tower day.

This thing's been requested a lot over the past months as I wonder why SE didn't just create a damn Raid Roulette in the first place, including Crystal Tower+Void Ark in there since I bet they're going to add more VA storyline in the next patch. Not to mention, the only incentive to even do Crystal Tower now is because of the music. THAT'S IT.

I got into LoTA on Saturday after waiting for like 30 mins.
Sunday was the same for the other two portions. It was my first try so tonnes of poetics bonuses too.

The gear is cool. I glamoured the CT BLM gear.

I agree. There should be a Duty Roulette: Raid. Or, Duty Roulette: Towers. Or something. If it was Raid, then Alexander/Coils would have to be implemented as they are raids. Perhaps calling it 'Towers' as the roulette name would be sufficient. I haven't tried to get into a Tower since patch for music or anything, but I'm sure it is still hard to get into. And thus, I support this idea of yours.

If they don't want to lump the towers and Coil together, they could just call it "Duty Roulette: 24 Player Raids" or "Duty Roulette: Alliance Raids" or something similar. "Towers" would become an obsolete name if the intent is to lump Void Ark and the related raid content into it eventually. (Also, let's be fair: Only one of the original three raids was even a proper tower. People just called them all that because of the questline.)

24-man roulette has been thrown around so many times, the devs have to have noted it by now.

But, we should keep tossing it out there. Maybe one day it'll stick.

The 24-man roulette has to be around. I mean, it's another incentive for tomes, and you even get to go for minions and stuff! It'd fix the CT issue(outside of organized groups that have been on other servers and Behemoth currently on certain days) and they can even chain Void Ark into it.
