First come first serve parties aren't all bad. If the people you're partying with are good, honest people, then it's fine. I got my Bismarck bird after 4 nights of farming the duty with the same group of people. I started number 8 on the list.

The problems arise when you get players that join those groups and then bail the moment they get their loot.

Which is how about half of the 8 whistles I've seen out of 130 Bismark runs turn out.

Any variation of "I'm tired," "I'm hungry" or someone else drops and they take it as an opportunity to slide out.

You are extremely lucky to have 7 other people who cooperate until everyone gets something. If it wasn't your raid static or FC, then bravo.
