What if it's not RMT, but bots run by S-E themselves because they ran calculations on the MB and personal/FC gil levels and realised that the economy would collapse unless they did something about it. This way they can increase/decrease the gil in play without having to adjust the game's code.

1) they don't need to do that, they could modify the gil fountains without touching code, and imply by executing a few SQL statements on their DB - assuming that they ever felt it necessary to fiddle directly with the economy.

I'd hope SE could do better then awrwnbjgh gtnvctj or whatever. I seen more bots shortly after reset this time around the area of the Novice Hall. I didn't even bother I just went to the hunt and logged shortly after. Even the tell spam on my server has picked back up, sometimes I get one before I can even view my screen after logging in. I haven't seen it this bad since 2.5.
