Is an official database too much to ask for?

I seem to be using YG/ZAM/Mooglebox AND the Lodestone to try and figure stuff out and even then at times I'm still confused.

I'd like Mooglebox if it actually had information regarding the stats on said items, but so far as I can see, it doesn't so it pretty much negates its purpose for me.

I think at this stage of the game, if the recipes are not going to be presented in game until we learn them, then we should have some kind of Official Database with a look-up feature and detailed information regarding stats. I'm truly a bit tired of having to scour four different sites to try and figure out what it takes to make one item and whether or not that item is useful to me or not.

Oh and one more crafting qualm I have is that the other day I decided I wanted to make a Copper Needle or some such and its listed as a level 1 skill. Easy right? No, apparently not. It requires a rank 30 item to make it. I feel like this should then make it a rank 30 item to create. This crafting system, while I actually like to craft using it, is not very intuitive...
