    Party(ing) Exp and Drops

    So, I'm level 10, my friend's level 4
Him and I partied up, as we're both new to the game and such

While fighting mobs together, I was getting a bonus slither of exp whenever we killed something- It was like 90 exp with a (15 exp) bonus
Was that because we were partied, or because I was fighting with a lower level, or?
There was no chain or rested bonus

Also, him and I were in the same map, zone, what have you, and I was randomly receiving drops while he was getting kills
Is that the system for loot sharing?

Two real nooblet questions, I know, but thank you in advance for any and all help

If you're partied (or not but do enough damage to meet the threshold) then you qualify for drops which are distributed by the game (can't roll on drops from mobs -- they just happen). For exp, again you can be partied or not, and you will get an amount relative to the highest level player that dealt damage to the enemy (this may be in parties only -- unsure). The ideal setup would be both of you being the same level or very nearly. In FATES (and even more so in dungeons) you'll be level synced such that everyone more or less gets the same amount of exp (and is at the same level give or take a few).

Mob drops actually happen just by being in a party the zone with the player. You generally don't even need to touch the mobs and you'll still get the mob drops which are RNG dropped into your inventory.
