Macro's that are actually useful ?

They have to be...well..not obnoxious though. My friend has a macro, it's literally just "Used Berserk" with a ping.
That's it. That's all I need, honestly. I don't need a countdown, I don't need fifty notifications that it's going to happen.

Just one line, please.

In response I use WP on him all the time and he loves it.

This sooo much this... If you let me know you're using it - I will most likely find the time to pop it on you in the N-seconds that it's active. Don't expect it always though since it depends on what I'm doing at the time.

And Pull macros YES please 12-15s prefered - but again this is for EX/savage and the like. I don't expect it in dungeons.

With berserk, I just trust my healers to see the debuff, so I don't announce it period (I'm considering relegating my Hallowed Ground to being a non-announced skill). As for pull macros, I've had NINs ask for 20 seconds due to Ninjutsu, so they can pre-use Huton before the pull, before opening when the CD timer expires with another Ninjutsu, so I rock a 20s macro. It goes 20 (ping), 10 (no ping), 5 (no ping), 4 (no ping), 3 (ping), 2 (ping), 1 (ping), begin (ping).

If you lose sight of your focus target, you can use this as L3/R3 to turn the camera and quickly snap back to them.

you can also make an extensive hidden hotbar system using

/chotbar share 1 on
/chotbar change 1

and the closing button;

This way I bring up a utility hotbar for emotes, waymarks, signs, macro's.

I also use <mo> macros for other single-target healing spells. By repeating lines they work even if I execute them about 0.46sec before GCD is done.

Macros are best to be avoided on dps abilities, but a couple new ones from 3.2 are amazing. never again have to place an aoe manually as a bard or drk

You can make a macro with simply just the <tt> tag in it and nothing else. I use it as a healer to quickly swap between the mt and the boss.

Side note to the Secondary Mount (if you even see this lol). You can summon any mount now with your Companion in combat with you.

Travel macro (with mount)

/mount "Secondary Mount" [if the company Chocobo is not your main mount place it here. If it is your main mount put your runner up, for when your choco is stabled]

What this does is:
It lets you Sprint towards something without attempting to mount if you target anything, even yourself.
It will have you mount if Sprint is on CD or if you're not targeting anything.
It will summon your chocobo companion as a mount instead of your default, so you don't get an error while he is summoned for combat.
It will also summon your backup mount when your chocobo is stabled, if he is your default mount.
Finally, Sprint is repeated at the end so that if you are In a place where your mount is forbidden and you aren't targeting anything, it will have you Sprint.

Figuring this out has made my hotbar much more enjoyable.

i use macros on scholar for both heals and controlling placement of Selene or Eos, just makes it easier for me on PS4.
Other then that i only have a Aetherial Manipulation macro on blm, nothing else really
