Request: Auto kick from Duty Finder queue after an hour of AFK

I know some queues are long, way over that hour. However one thing that is aggravating in those long queues are the false positives that pop when some people who have long since gone afk are matched, thus making people have to wait for the timeout and then wait the DF get it's act together to rematch the group. In my view, if person is active enough to come press that "go" button when the queue pops up, they are active enough to come in at least once an hour to jump or something, even if they are watching netflix or something. Mainly would drop out those people who have gone to sleep/gone to work/otherwise wouldn't be around anyway for potential pop. That in itself should lessen the false positive queue pops and streamline the process a bit.

    Thoughts?

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

While I get afkers probably contribute a lot to the false positive queue times. Imo it's just one of many reasons, can be queueing with friends for a long time so they do some crafting while they wait only for the queue to pop minutes later and they can't finish there craft fast enough to confirm the duty. Or the inevitable queue hasn't popped for 40 minutes going to make coffee and ding the 1 minute you're in the kitchen. there's has been the odd occasion when I play on my ps4 and the queue dings just as I port to iddyllshire, and for whatever reason it takes like 45 seconds just to load that place sometimes. namely during the busier times of day.

Kicking people just because they've been queueing for ages could be an absolute nightmare. Especially if you've spent an hour waiting at 6or7 of 8 for that last healer or tank slot to fill. Get kicked after an hour and now find you're right at the back of the dps queue as well.... UGH!!!

I was not suggesting that just being an hour in the queue would be the base for drop. If you were doing other stuff in the game, be it craft, beast dailies, market boarding.. whatever you could be in queue 24/7. My suggestion would just affect to those who have retained more than an hour of AFK status, thus most propably not being on their computer, even if the queue pops.

edit: My suggestion comes in same vein as those that suggest afk mentors should be kicked from the novice network after a while.

I wouldn't like that idea. I may queue up, and do other things in game until it pops. Or, I may have it Alt-Tabbed to the background with only System Sounds not muted so I could hear the DF chimes. I'd hate to be kicked out purely because DF is taking so long, and at that moment that is the only thing I wanted to do in the game.

People would turn off auto AFK anyway to get around the problem.

NO NO NO, and NO again. if i have an hour long wait, unless i have something else to do I am going to change the input on my TV and watch an episode while chatting in TS and waiting, when my controller dings to say i have a queue, switch input back to PS4 and join. If i miss it because i step out of the room for a second, yes i cost you 45seconds more to wait, but your not the one who just wasted 1hr when you miss it..

In honesty when the 1hr + queues happen, if you miss it and are back within a few min of missing it (stepped away for a short time and miss) they need some type of cut in line mechanic so you dont have to rewait 1hr+ again
