Doesn't necessarily need to be material. Participate in the chat, offer to go with people on runs (especially if you have heals/tanks), answer questions for sprouts, or take people to farms. I've gotten a lot of people in my past FCs to at least try PVP, including the Saturday night events.

Contribute to earning company credits by doing fates, daily roulettes, gathering HQ, crafting HQ, etc.
Help out anyone needing people for a dungeon run or start runs yourself.
Try and organize a mount farm group.
Answer peoples questions/show them how to do things as best you know.
Share whatever knowledge you have about anything they might not have.
Earn GC seals to help purchase mats for building the airship parts (or other workshop items)
Level crafters and start giving out HQ gear to sprouts and any other FC mate that needs it.
    Organize FC events and games
Buy/make furniture and donate it to the FC house.
Be social and talk, make the FC a friendly and welcoming place for people.
Try and stock your FC chest with useful stuff for everyone (what that is will depend largely on your FC).

Also, just be friendly with people. Say hi to whoever logs in and gn when they are about to log. That does wonders for helping people feel included, including for yourself.

    1. Communicate. Actually talking to each other is an incredibly underrated thing.
    2. If someone asks for a group and you can, go along, this is also an incredibly underrated thing.
    3. Be a good ambassador for your Free Company. Remember, the way people see your Free Company is illuminated by how you act.

May just be me but something I do in my FC /past fc was to try to always even out the amount I took from the chest and the amount I put in.

If I go on a run of taking quite a few items I always try to put some useful stuff back in return.

Then you're contributing to the FC already. A social atmosphere is much better than an FC were people just raid log or cap tomes for the week. Conversations in FC chat make the FC feel friendly and welcome and most importantly alive.

Seriously just being there and being an active member who is genuinely interested in what your FC mates are doing is the best thing you can do.

Encouraging a warm social environment is key to any good company.

    1. Help people. Whether it's simple questions, a first time clear, replacing a tank/healer who left a DF group, melding gear or crafting HQ items, assistance is always welcome.
    2. Organize events. Do you have some people who have never done Coil or Crystal Tower? Or do you have a lot of people without any ponies? People love doing things with their fc so making events is a good way to help and make friends at the same time. Even Diadem can be fun with the right people.
    3. Be productive. Feeding chocobos every hour and cleaning the stable, making gardening minions for everyone with the fc garden (most people don't have personal gardens to make them with!), crafting furniture/bardings/minions/glamour prisms/consumables, reporting hunts and special fates etc will help people reach their goals faster. Already at 50 crafting you can produce things that people need or want.

And obviously being social is a good way to make the fc feel homey, but you already go that covered. ^^
