    Rules for Spoils farming only.

Diadem groups have been only focusing on getting gear to trade for the spoils to get materia. It only makes sense to go Easy or Normal mode, and not spawn any tracks to save time. That said, here's my question:

Every group uses GREED only, even if a 210 piece drop, which is fine. However, is there a reason why people will join if it's GREED all versus any kind of NEED?

I'm asking because I did about 6 back-to-back Diadems, and each time, I never walked out with more than three pieces out of a total of 30+ kills. In one group, two people walked out with 10+ items each.

I know it's RNG on the GREED, but I even attempted to set up a group that allowed for NEED, but no one joined. I even got a few /tells saying that NEED is not the way to go.

If you're just going for spoils, just go with greed. It's simpler. It's also the most fair. Need isn't going to be fair depending on job distribution. And you can still get RNG screwed by not having any loot for your job drop.

Yep there is a reason, and its job disttibution as said above.

The 1 drg gets all his need stuff, but 2 healers still have to roll and get only half the loot on ->average<- (unless having 2 healers means twice the chance that a lootdrop will be for healers. This is questionable, since even loot for classes that do not participate drops).

Rng certainly can give bad results for greed share, but thats just coincidence whereas need allowance favors some jobs in terms of probability. Youre basically screwing people over (like the pfs who were 1 drg rest aim+cast only to ensure all str accs are his, while they need to roll for their loot left AND right) ;p

Ps: If you wanted to set up a fair need party, you would have to preset jobs so each gear can only be needed by 1 person (8 different lootjobs do not exist?), or have 4 different ->couples<- roll, but you might have a hard time finding the correct answer ^^
