WHAT!? No way. If this were to happen to me and I'm feeling nice then I'd kick them out of the instance. If I'm feeling like they deserve something better then I'd slowly drag them to the last boss and kick them before the fight starts.right,
I'm just saying "letting them die" won't solve anything.
Talking like a reasonable human being is the best route. And if they are rude and say stuff like "git gud or you're bad" It's better to stomache such useless insults and just ask "How do we fix the problem?"
Happens, sometimes people apologize sometimes that just seems to be the way they deliberately want to play. I just deal with it since dealing with stuff is just what tanks have to do. There will always be people who think you pull too much and then people who think you don't pull enough, people who want you to immediatly pull and people who want you to wait... and the tank has to deal with that.
I was in a group where I had to take care of something for about half a minute and when I came back people were running all over the place dying while my character just stood there watching since my chat massage seemed to have gone unnoticed, everyone says their "I'm sorry" and "np" and we continue farming.

did 60 roulette with healer friend (i was tanking). things went fine, except seems like honeycombs were dying a lot slower than the pointless adds. get right before second boss, clear honeycomb, is still like 10 adds wailing on me, both DPS run into boss barrier. me and healer die.
me: seriously? just bail on 10 mobs and let healer tank deal with em?
idiotic 14 year old DPS who should be playing halo: uhh....thats how its always done
sitting there thinking, since when is ditching tank with 10 adds "how its done" in *any* instance? i'm the one playing the class you are too chicken to try...i'll just bail on your arrogant ass and you can wait another 2 hours for a tank to que for your measly roulette.... oh well, is what i get for using DF to fill two DPS spots..90% of DPS'ers could be interchanged with a monkey and suffer no DPS loss....and at least a monkey would take longer than some over-anxious lil kid who's mom is yelling at him to go to bed....

Igziabeher, I may be just a dps, but I can agree with the dps in your story, after that honeycomb dies, the whole party goes through the slide into the boss room and ignored whatever adds may be remaining.
done it once, to unlock it. 60 roulette constantly gives me fractal. told team at start i had only done it once and may need a few reminders. i dont really care what general consensus is on how to do things...if there were two tanks and one ran ahead, sure, fine, go with him. but unless you think you can solo whatever's coming next, is absolutely no excuse to just run past tank and leave him with 10 mobs when its pretty goddamn obvious he has no intention of moving...a simple "come come come ditch em" woulda sufficed, and would have done so, but still, i really cant understand the advantage in pulling mobs an extra 10 feet just because that's "how its done"...if there is some sort of transition there that makes all mobs drop aggro, then maybe that's my fault, but in my defense there are hardly any instances in which mechanics function like that, except maybe that ARR MSQ raid with the elevators...its not in my nature to just zerg into boss area, especially while dealing with the obscene amount of adds they allowed to spawn...><

It's not pulling the mobs, it's flat out ignoring them. The ai can't understand how the sliding honey works, so when you use the slide to go to the boss, they can't follow you, meaning those 10 mobs you have to fight, can't actually fight you, and you can proceed to the boss without needing to kill them.
gotcha, makes sense. i feel a bit bad for snapping on them for doing what they did, but really wish someone would have mentioned it, or at least come back to help :P i take the time to watch videos and read guides, but minute things like that are generally not mentioned...><
Yea its better when its mention, at times when I get to that part. A fc mate or me or someone should ask if we should break the wall and run or not. Cuz sometimes the walls break and we run, or if it looks like the tank or healer won't be able to handle the damage too long we fight the mobs. Sure I understand a dungeon can be silence and be clear no problem, but generally I think some parts if the party is on the same page things would be smoother.gotcha, makes sense. i feel a bit bad for snapping on them for doing what they did, but really wish someone would have mentioned it, or at least come back to help :P i take the time to watch videos and read guides, but minute things like that are generally not mentioned...><
I understand what your saying, and I rarely let a dps tank something they have pulled. For the op, I use a tank lob macro that targets the mob with a "1" whenever dps starts splitting dps on mobs. If it's a big pull, AOE like crazy and I'll keep up, in small pulls or your over geared, dps please focus down one target. It reduces overall damage on the tank and makes it easier to keep hate, meaning you don't have to hold back.Though on that same note, a healer can pretty easily keep dps alive long enough to kill their own trash mobs (usually each dps has their own). Especially if they are dodging the AoEs, a lot of the time on DD i tank my own trash mobs, more so when the tank can't hold hate.
Well, it is not getting any better. People keep pulling more and more adds on me and when I say I don't want that I get kicked. But with my level 50 gear, I cannot take that many enemies.
Idk what's wrong with people, seriously. The addon is basically ruining level 50 gameplay. People just rush the dungeons, without any regards for players that are not 60. Same goes for story dungeons.
While you are still trying to enjoy a cutscene on your first run while people fling insults at you, the first 2 bosses are already dead.
And why are there 2 tanks in there anyway? As a level 50 player, I cannot tank so many and quite honestly, I don't have to do anything in 8 player trials or story dungeons, because the level 60 tank is pulling everything together and it dies within 2 seconds.
Idk, the game isn't much fun this way.
There is no challenge, no teamplay and people only insult each other if it is not going fast enough.
