Fishing Problems

Before the new patch I could catch 3 to 5 thunderbolt eels collectables in one session. Now I am lucky if I get one. Tiny oxolotl i went three times and got 1. The drop rate seems like its been nerfed or its like theres a bug. Is anyone else finding collecting collectables has got alot harder? My friend has red script fishing rod and hes having the same problems Illuminati pershc - the other morning had to fish for an hour before i caught one high enough. Ive started taking food but its not made any difference. I just got through 2 bladed steel jigs in half an hour. This is quite frustrating, i understand red scripts are supposed to be difficult but I may have to fish round the clock all week to cap at this rate.

Its just RNG, but also as advice use brute leech and patience, is easier that way, also use brute leech to get illuminatis to get more brute leech. Also check on ff14angler the right baits and time for easier catch.
