    1. It's not Racism if you're annoyed by foreign players not speaking your language. It's barely even nationalism. If you're on a North American server and you've selected English as your primary language, then your expectation is that you will be able to communicate with as well as understand your teammates. Your expectations are not unreasonable.

    2. Don't feel guilty, the Japanese players feel the same way. Language barriers are incredibly annoying, and it's selfish to inflict them on others when it can be easily avoided.

    auto translate, please use it.

On a general scale though, I've noticed that the people who don't give a crap at all (not even the auto-translate for "I don't speak ...") tend to fail a lot because they are unable to communicate anyway.

The way I proceed is talking English as base, switching to French if the whole group is French or if I have something to explain to a French player (on a case per case basis, if they are fine with English, no use speaking French). Full German groups, I just remain silent and use auto translate if needed. I only ever met one JP group so I can't really say, but they were using auto translate when they had something important to say to me and complimented me at the end of the dungeon for trying google translate for some basic politeness

Despite being British and living in Scotland...I play on Balmung because pretty much everybody here speaks English. Luckily I don't get any lag at all. When I played on the designated European servers, however, many people didn't speak English and it just frustrated me.

I love how most of the people complaining about the French people are... from Moogle, like me. Hell, even my native French-speaking friend from Belgium rolls his eyes really hard every time.
But to be fair, I learned basic French comprehension. I can't speak a lick, don't know how to pronounce ANYTHING, but I learned what these people want from me. After failing class because of Spanish that's relieving.

But you know what my friend REALLY dreads? Germans.
It's kind of hilarious that I, a native German, have super big beef with the French clowns, and he, a native French speaker, has the same beef but with German clowns.

I always queue for just English people and Don't mind waiting longer for a duty to pop up, if when I go in to a duty and another language is spoken I feel cheated and rather frustrated.

I wish square would make a server for just french and one for just german players. that really help party finders, duty finder would still be a problem.

It's annoying when people choose all the languages to get in quickly but don't know tactics. Using auto-translate is slow and frustrating and I'd rather avoid it especially when I only choose the language I can speak. You can't even translate mob names as far as I know. If there's at least one person speaking all the languages present, I think it would be easiest for them to translate.

However, I do think that people should be free to speak whatever language they want in dungeons. As long as they communicate with everyone when needed of course. If two French buddies queue together to a dungeon and chat with each other, who am I to tell they can't? It's a supported language too just like English. Sometimes the queue combines people of different language groups with only one person capable of speaking both, and that means both sides should be patient with foreign chatter. And keep their fingers crossed that the bilingual person is willing to translate tactics.

I don't feel segregation is the solution. The language groups are too spread out accross different servers and most probably wouldn't transfer to a new server and abandon their friends / lose their house. And where would these servers be? French speakers exist around the world and there would be latency issues. You are also forgetting that many players speak two or more languages fluently and making them have to choose between communities is a bit unfair. Party finder groups already have options to pick their language and the ability to kick anyone who doesn't follow the rules.
