Besides, in terms of combat it's highly impractical and can lead you to your death if taken by enemies and/or grappled upon. Hiding it would actually be more meaningful and make more sense, than showing it to everyone and easily.

Maybe if the devs then also put in a 30%-50% chance to fall down to the ground ^^ (because missing body balance)

Or Lalas, how tons of armor looks squished and sorta strange on them (not all of it, just like...weirdly stretched in places).

You play a race with a tail you're gonna have to deal with the obnoxious clipping issues. Like someone said earlier I'd rather they fix long hair physics; EVERYONE is able to choose long hair as an option so this would benefit the whole player base.

Gear that had a butt-bow on it looks terrible on male miqo. They should at least straighten/align the tails right. It does not even line up with the bow

Well, since it's an extension to your spinal cord, which is needed for balance (just like the animals themselves), this would mean, you would have serious balance issues, soooo.....

(I know it's fantasy but since the point with grappling the tails came up..., you see my point^^)
