could we increase this number to 181 or 182? Because I do not want to set it to automatic renewal, I would rather make a steam wallet payment and 180 days give the best discount. However I'm afraid that if I wake till my account hits 0 it might boot me mid a dungeon or something. I think that having some freedom with 1 or 2 days here and there would make the process of resubbing a lot more user friendly.

Pretty sure you can just top up your time. You can't have more than 180 total days, but if you renew a month before your time expires you'll only have around 30 days.

That doesn't help, because he already said he wants to buy in batches of 180 days. "180 days give the best discount"


OP, I honestly don't know how it is for FF, but another game I played I'm fairly certain that you were able to continue playing after your sub lapsed as long as you were already logged into the game. Once you logged out you would lose access. Do you know if SE does it where you will be booted the second the sub lapses?

This didn't happen to someone I know personally, so take it for that. But a long time ago I was running a dungeon and someone went LD. Their buddy in the group said that his subscription ran out and he is trying to renew and get back in the game. Ended up taking a while so his friend said to go ahead and replace. If that was really true or not, no clue, and also no idea if his subscription ran out that very minute, or if there is some of delay for a few hours or so first.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't boot you out if your sub expires while logged in.

You just won't be able to get back in.

But you should be able to add more time, it's silly that you can't.

And still why offer a 180 day sub, if you can only have 180 at a time. Why not a day extra to that max had?

Probably for that exact reason, to pressure people to pay that little bit extra, or go without service for 15 minutes.
