[Possible Spoilers] The Antitower's Design, from a Lore Perspective

I love the Antitower but I am curious about it from a lore perspective.

I understand that it is hanging from the ceiling of the cave it is in so that it doesn't fall into the Aetherial Sea but why is everything inside of it upside-down? Is there a purpose to this or is it just Sharlayan's love of whimsy? If so, there's a lot of physics defining magics in places to reverse gravity on things like hanging lamps and flowing water just for aesthetic... Or maybe it was built right-side-up and then placed upside-down? But then why? To get even closer to the Aetherial Sea?

Another area I question is the area after the first boss, The Lower Reaches. What is this area? We're traveling on top of upside-down platforms in a magical, swirling abyss while monsters jump out of wardrobes (or wardrobe-like portals), with furniture and debris floating around, and floating lampposts shooting at us. Is it another dimension? A part of the Void that Sharlayan jazzed up? Inside the Aetherical Sea? Inside the actual tower?

This is something that's been bugging me as well. The very name of the place implies it was built upside down on purpose but it's not at all clear why. Is it possible that there once used to be magicks in place that allowed people to use the facility with inverted gravity?

The strange inter-dimensional section looks like a case of magic let loose and gone awry though. The tower was abandoned and its guardians and keepers have essentially gone feral in the time since. The Sharlayans likely used those magical wardrobes as some way of traveling through the tower, which has since gotten a little... wild.

I do hope we get some explanation for some of this though. It's an extremely interesting and unique dungeon compared to much of the rest and I'd love to know a little more about the hows and whys behind it.

I was kind of disappointed that we didn't get to see more of the inside of the tower.

It was cool to see the outside, because it's an impressive building, but the inside looked so bland. When looking at it from the outside, I was picturing the insides to be similar to FFIX's Ispen's Castle (and I don't think that I was alone here). What we got was basically two hallways and a few circular chambers that weren't at all impressive. I would have liked very much to have gotten to explore the tower properly, and see what other kinds of decor it had to offer. The fact that the insides are also upside down makes me all the more curious about the rest of the building. At the very least I would have liked some lore tidbits scattered about (like books, or tablets that we've seen in other dungeons) to give some more depth to the building and it's purpose.

I feel like there used to be a spell that reversed gravity inside of the tower, so you could walk on the right side properly, but that spell was turned off when the Sharlayans left, or it faded after they left. That would be the reason we run on the ceiling.
All the same, that means they had the grasp of gravity magic.

I'll be highly surprised if we don't get a hard mode version of the dungeon, and if/when it comes we'll probably get more lore about the place at that time.
