we have everything covered so far Uldah (desert) Gridania (forest) Limsa (sea) , Ishgard (snow) ......we need a FLOATING CITY (nym or similar!)....or underground....or undersea

This most likely will never happen since it's in ruins (maybe even caved in :S), but I'd like to see the Duskwight underground city. Gelmarro was it called or something like that?

I'd also like to see that rainy place where seawolves originated from and the volcano where hellsguards dwelve. Or find more miqo'te tribes in the wild.

Sorry, I'm at work and can't really check any of the proper names or if they were continents or cities or what. But I really REALLY want to explore more of the current races' origins.

Ala Mhigo is all but given as the site of the next expansion. As mentioned above, it's the only city-state in Eorzea we haven't visited. I don't know if others have picked up on it yet, but Yda and Papalymo are most likely fighting with the resistance in Ala Mhigo after the events of 2.5. Watch the CS again if you haven't noticed. All the NPCs aside from those two are Highland Hyurs. The snippets of conversation we're fed makes it pretty obvious they are involved in some guerrilla warfare.

I'm gonna have to agree and say next expansion is going to focus on freeing Ala Mhigo from the Garlean empire. Especially since 2 of the scions are in the middle of the fighting

Well if we're ignoring the obvious hints and teases of Ala Mhigo being where we're going next, I'd want to go to Thavnair the most.

That, and Meracydia...

which, in many places is still a smoldering waste, even today

... which means not all of it; if the item info is anything to go by, it'll be a hot place, tropical in some areas and with some jungle environments and maybe Thavnair is located here, too, as it's said to be south also and there was some hint at that in something, so there's that, too perhaps.

Edit: Can't for the life of me remember where I got that "Thavnair is south and might be near/on Meracydia" thing from, but it's blatantly wrong as I did a double-check on a few Thavnairian items, as it seemed really off, what with the whole "Near Eastern" thing... and yup, wrong.
