Thread: Grinding since patch 1.16

Hey, anyone know some good mobs to grind on at mid to high levels as a DoM? It seems grinding outside of leves has been pretty crappy since the patch pretty much nerfed cobs and dobs.

Solo wise cobylns and dobylns are still probally your best bets, they have only that 1 WS attack which makes them weaker then everything else.

1.16 with the cobyln change killed the main solo mob for the most part... now the grind while soloing has been increased.

Really outside groups normal grinding is not good atm.
If you can get a group:
20-26 Puks in Nanawa Mines (can pull around 15-19k/hr here)
26-32 You can kill skellys in Nanawa or try copperbell (this is sorta the crappy levels I have not found a good camp) (15kish)
32-38 The eft camps near Nine Ives will get you around 15-20k/hr
38-45 (small group) you can try the Peiste near Riversmeet in Coerthas or the raptor camps. (300-450sp a kill depending on level and # of ppl)
Also at 45+ you can try the eft camp in black shroud near Sorrel Haven (16-20k/hr)

Thanks Xatsh, I'll see if me and my LS can't get a grind prty going tomorrow and give some of those a shot.

Pretty much what Char said people need to stop focusing on Cobylns and Dobylns as the only things to do after leves. Group up and actually experience the game Uldah's region is about 15-20% of the world if that. If everyone did that players would even see that your classes start to fall in more specific rolls at least in smaller groups.

Solo is always subpar sp if you have time to group especially post rank 20, I mean sub par by like a 30-50% less sp/hr rate. Now if you are on a limited time yea solo makes sense. But those people I see soloing for 4-6hrs at once... I just simply cannot understand it.

My list is what I use in my linkshell, there is definitely more camps then that out there then what I listed.

To be honest, Doblyn "nerfed" isn't that bad. I'm playing my Archer and Doblyn that give me 150-200 SP a kill still go down in one buffed Multishot + Barrage, while anything that give equivalent SP still take more than that to kill. A few mobs that have low HP for solo are birds like Vulture, Pteroc/Puk, Pteroc Trap variant and Dormouse. Avoid Zombie and Goat for the purpose of SPing, they tend to have much more HP for their rank.
