    Crafted, Pentamelded ACC is better than 240ilvl

    Hello.
    My first post here. Be gentle.

    I was wondering how good crafted ilvl220 acc pentamelded are versus BiS acc (ilvl 240, no parry). And results are listed in a image below

    .

    I used only fending accessories and from 240 I used upgraded lore earring, bracelet and a ring, and from savage midas necklace and second ring.

    TLDR: Crafted pentamelds are still BIS for tanks

    1-2 extra AP per piece doesn't make it worth losing that much VIT. It's a better option than going for a pure i240 STR accessory if you're just trying to meet HP thresholds, but you'll see minor returns at the cost of a chunk of health... which isn't really worth.

    Your calculations don't include HP as modifier. HP is worth more than the minimal damage you gain from pentamelds or 240 slaying accessories for that matter.

    I'm not giving up 55 VIT for 10 AP. Even wearing the i150 melded set for a bonus of 25 AP is such a neglible difference.

    The trade-off would be 11 VIT for 39 Det/Crit/Acc/SkS per piece, and that's overmelding V materia at an 8% meld chance or w/e it is.

    You're discounting Accuracy in your dps figures. You need to get enough Acc, and if you're dropping it from the right side you need to make up for it with less damage on the left side.
