Job icons for macro?

Howdy ! (it's me, Flowey, Flowey the flower ! *ahem*)

So someone gave me a rather interesting link who leed to a site with almost all of the in game icon we can find.

My question is: is there any way to use the set 1 of the job icon as a macro icon? I never saw them and never heard of them. But it seems that all 2.0+ jobs are missing, so I'm guessing this was 1.0 icons.

If so, is there any way to use set 4 or 5 as macro icon? I would appreciate so much. Because I'm using job's crystal icon for my gears' shortcut but it make the icon bug each time I change job because the crystal is not is the same place anymore :T

Column 1 is indeed jobs icons as they were during 1.x. I don't think you can use sets 4 and 5 for macroicon. However, you can use set 2 with
/macroicon x gearset
where x is a gearset corresponding to the right job.

Yeah I know, set 2 is the basic icon when you register a gearset and just droping it on your skill bar is enough you don't need any macro. What I do is replacing those icons through macros to get something prettier, and I just wanted to use something that could solve my icon problem when changing job.

You do not need a macro but I made one for each job since I can add instructions after changing job. For instance, sorting each tab of the armory .
I think there is a way to be sure that the cristal job icon will always be active but I do not remember well the trick. I think it was toggling off and on the hotbar with your gearset macros.
If you have already tried that then I am sorry not to be helpful!

I am not at home so I cannot confirm that this is exactly what I use but some inspiration from this should do the work.
Try adding /hotbar x off /hotbar x on where x is the hotbar with the macro at the end if you still have room for this. I really think it will refresh the icon and make the job cristal appear .

Oh yeah I'm dumb, I'm already using hotbar copying macros to have a big menu. I never thought about putting this line at the end of my gearset job macro to insta refresh the bar. Will try it when i'll get home, thanks !
Ordering macros looks a bit big, I wonder if I can fit them in my current macros. Why can't we still call another macro in a macro to make a big program D: (this is even more true since I started my computer science studies lmao)
