I completely understand what you're saying but if you're being harassed that much and SE isn't doing anything, isn't it worth just putting /busy on? Sure, you shouldn't have to, but if you want to play the game and you're being harassed as much as you say, it's got to be worth it.

Unfortunately, the best you can do right now is to keep busy status up. I know you mentioned, "turning off tells is silly, then people ask why I don't talk to them," but you can always form a party with them. Is it inconvenient? Absolutely, but this is what we have to work with until SE does something.

Tried that a good while, along with most of FC, was constant; "Hey can't invite/trade, you're set to busy." Not a solution...

Do you make a party for every word you speak? I cant say hi, or nice glamour to someone without joining party/ls?

valid enough, caitlin, but you cant really flood a membership-only organization with unwanted people, there's some flaw in the system that is allowing them to even enter in the first place, and thats my point. I think that is also OP's point, it isn't a matter of what *WE* can do to deal with it, its not our problem. We pay to be here. If the gym analogy doesn't work out, how about a grocery store where there is a drug dealer on every aisle trying to sell you something? You'd probably expect management to hire some effective security, or you'd just shop elsewhere.

As long as they aren't losing subscribers because of it. It will always be lower priority.

Unless people start Leaving the game, leaving messages saying Because of RMT. It's not worth the resources.

Someone said, delay the 3.25 for 3 months and focus on ridding us of RMT. You know how many subscribers would leave.
How about delay new content for 6 months, or 12, why not 24 months.

This issue, though they say is a priority, will never be high enough on the list of things to do, when the reward to workload ratio is so low.

Would they get any new subscribers because they rid us of RMT? doubtful.
Would they get new subscribers if they deliver cool new content? Likely.

While true, the only way to really stamp it out temporarily is to get strict on censorship, say auto banning or jailing anyone who say "www." but then the tactics switch to "vvvvvv." or such and just on and on. I think a super mall is a bit of a better thought on it, so many places to go and see and do that they could be hiding anywhere whispering the goods that even if you had good security they may overlook them as a normal person but if you have too much security you make your normal guests or customers uneasy.

Man, I'm lucky I chose a very underpopulated server apparently... I get maybe one every fifteen minutes or so. Can't say I have a solution, other than to disable tells and interact only with people in your linkshell or Free Company...

I wish SE would make reporting simpler. Most people can't be assed to fill out that mess of a form. A simple right-click report would do wonders. People have been asking for this for 4 years. FOUR. YEARS. and still nothing. More like 6 if counting 1.0. How hard can that be? It's 2016 for crying out load, it's not asking for much.

Give me a friends-only /tell. I'd even be happy with that. I could go busy to avoid the relentless RMT yet still talk to my friends.

Cant really say they are busy on my server either, perhaps get one every hour if that.
Reporting them is often more annoying because clicking close on their response and confirming the matter closed often doesnt work. Almost allways i get at least 2 more messages after that saying they are looking into the matter. I know they are looking into it. I want to forget the issue and play on.

It's not so easy to get rid of RMT, square does infact purge them but they come back.. like roaches.. in mating season
Do roaches have mating seasons? I do think it would be lovely if there was more interaction between the task force and people who send in reports, i don't even get automated messages.

In XI i was literally policing RMT, I'd find them and report them, then stand and watch as they red-balled and vanished as my thank you note from SE arrived. XIV lacks that and it is kind of sad..
