Yep =/ I remember when I first started going into Coil. I had a bit too low Accuracy as a tank, probably around 30 points too little (yes, with accuracy food in effect). Which doesn't sound like all that much with numbers what they are now, but it was enough that half the time, my Butcher's Block would miss >.< Which meant that my most powerful aggro attack didn't take effect and I'd have to start my combo over from the beginning. Sometimes it was even the second attack that missed, meaning I got no benefit at all from those two GCD spent. In other words, aggro didn't like me at all, and the snake in T1 broke up with me and wanted to date one of the DPS or healers instead.
After the first wipe, I managed to scrounge around in my armoury and switched out a few pieces to lower ilvl or incorrect mainstat (when it came to accessories) to bring my Acc up to around 5-10 points below neccessary. I still missed a few times, but not nearly as much as the first attempt. We got through it, but... yeah. It wasn't pretty, and I kept riding that thin line of almost losing aggro ^^;

So yeah, don't know if it's just RNG, or if "85%" means you should expect closer to 50% accuracy, but... Yep. I'm one of the people who melded my Scholar relic with Acc/Crit, and I still keep it around for when I end up in level 50 content in roulettes etc.

Indeed .-. I to get quite irked when I my Holy misses to that degree but that's the unfortunate circumstances I'll have to deal with until I slowly fix the issue myself.
