SE Please add jump and swiming

Swimming is irrelevant because the game was not designed for it. Where are you going to swim? Limsa? For what purpose? You have nowhere to go except to float around like a boob.

As for swimming, it would to be something that wasn’t just swimming. If we were going to put this in the game, we would want to make it a part of the game. For example, swimming to certain dungeons to do things, battles in water, etc. While this isn’t something we could put in for 2.0, it might be something we consider for the next expansion pack. We’d make sure that it would have something worthwhile.

Yoshi-P said that swimming, if added, would be for actual underwater content, which would be really cool, I think. And like he said, why do we even have swimsuits if we can't even swim!?

We do have the swim suits, so they have to be good for something, right?

I am happy that he is looking at the larger picture when thinking of things to add, there are some people that want this game to stay exactly as it is... Which won't be happening since they are trying to turn this game around, adding some things from other games won't hurt. They are simply adding new features into the world of Final Fantasy XIV, it is still Final Fantasy XIV. When I think of things that define a Final Fantasy, I don't think "we'll it's a Final Fantasy because it doesn't have this, this, and this" - it is the story and the world and the monsters, the beauty and the thoughts and emotions it evokes. Being able to jump or swim wouldn't ruin that for me. If it would ruin it for anyone, I don't think they are a real fan.
