either they decided not to add it and want to keep it on the low to avoid upsetting the players who were looking fwd to it or they decided to add it but want to wait until they can show us how it will work so not to upset the other half who were totaly against it.

That being said, swimming was already confirmed as a possibility for a future expansion in the thread below.

What else is to say? They said they are adding jumping already, I think some people are just forgetting the fact. It is something we will most likely see with the launch of 2.0. As for swimming, it is something we may see after that.
