It's too bad Alex normal doesn't drop 1 type of token with varying item costs instead of the mess it is now. Everything you get is over taken by lore gear so fast anyway, it's not like it would be game breaking if you got a chest or legs in the first week because you spent all 4 floor tokens on it. Most people are getting their lore chest and Alex legs on week 2 anyway.

Having only 1 type of token would mean people could just roll and leave. Try again if they lost, or move to the next floor if they won. Most of the waiting on loot is because of coveted tokens.

Seriously, a base raid shouldn't be as convoluted as it is.

The biggest problem I have with this is that they are wasting others' time. You could have had another que pop by the time you exist a raid/dungeon with such a damn duck. Ugh..

Yes, but in that case the person that rolled second loses.

This happened every-single-time. It's the same in Void Ark with the card drop now. Haven't seen this behavior in Midas yet. Lowering the timer to 2 minutes wouldn't hurt.

I let em wait all they want and will usually mention "Waiting isn't going to make you get it sooner" as I sit my happy tail at the end. I understand you don't want to roll against 8 people and the fear of running a dungeon more than once is more than some can bare, but its life of an MMORPG.

About the card dropping as roll, I think its the stupidest thing they ever did. I don't need the card as I have had 2 already before they added it in but making it so I can roll if I wanted to? That is just cruel, cus you know people are rolling on them just to turn in for MGP.

There is one solution. If they make it so if you take long to cast your lot, you lose your chance to roll high. Something like this:

1st 30 seconds, you have access to roll 1 to 99, next 30 seconds you can only roll 1 to 89, next 30 seconds 1 to 79 and so on. By the time you get to the last 30 seconds of the 5 minutes, you can only roll 1 to 9. Perfect solution against roll squatters.

This reminds me of a Garuda Hard mode I had a few months ago.Now let me first say that I'm very ok with someone wanting something I'll pass and think nothing of it.But this one was different once we had downed Garuda the bow dropped and I was like"O cool I guess I'll roll" I rolled a 89 about everyone but myself and two other people left.No one says anything for a good two minutes when one of them asks not kindly if they could have the bow for themselves. They had come on a different dps class so they couldn't need it.I decided that if they would just wait because after they realized I wasn't leaving they didnt roll for a good 10 to 15 minutes that no I'm not leaving because that bow is quite nice and maybe your not the only one who want it.They did however bring up a good point I dont have archer leveled but what gives them the right to think I wouldn't level it? I won but it left me annoyed

I can tell you that a reason not everyone might roll/pass on Alexander loot right away is this:

Let's say a chain and a pedal drop. The chain is what I really want, but if I don't get it I'd still settle for the pedal.
I roll a 70 on the chain. At this point I have a reasonable chance of receiving the chain, but in the event that I don't, I don't want to just pass on the pedal right away. You can probably see where I'm going with this. All it would take is someone else that wants the pedal instead but is similarly willing to settle for the chain in the event they don't receive the pedal, and right there is a potential impasse.

Basically, as long as "one item per week" restrictions exist in instances that drop multiple pieces of loot at a time, this sort of thing can always be a potential problem. And I'm sure I'm not the only person who plays these "one item per week" raids this way, preferring item A but willing to settle for B or C, simply for the sake of not having to put up with another random ass DF group that week.

So I suggest a reduced a reduced roll timer here - 90 to 120 seconds seem to suffice for nearly everything.
That might work for end-of-instance loot, but that's going to result in a lot of complaints regarding mid-instance loot. I would know because I'd be one of the people making those complaints.
