Disable boss music option

On that topic, I really would appreciate that SE did something about FATE music.

I mean, I like it and all while battling and stuff, but if Im on a lvl 60 char passing by a lvl 55 or lower FATE which Im hella sure not stopping to fight at all, why is the music playing anyway? This is most apparent when doing ARR beast tribes... geez...

Would like it so FATE music only played if you are actually fighting in the FATE zone :|

System configuration > Sound settings > BGM - 0 > mp3 player > Win?

I'd like to turn off the BGM whilst *STILL* allowing in duty music, so the BGM = 0 option is no good. A /bgm on or /bgm off macro would be heavenly.

Plus you can disable mount music. Why not fight or fate.

Option to disable battle music would be terrific, I find myself constantly having to lower the BGM up and down, and frankly the battle music is not chill at all, I get its supposed to be upbeat but hey the only thing that will play in my living room is chill music sorry.

Not if they separated background & instance music, like any common sense development team would, to ensure that their hard work wasn't always ignored. We have BGM thrust at us continually, I hear it in my sleep, whereas instance music is heard far more sparsely. It's been an age since I heard King Moggle Mog music (for example).

I love video game music. I have a LOT of FFXIV's music on my phone. However, my least favorite boss theme is the newer one that plays at the end of the dungeons now. They never gave me a sense of accomplishment.

Remember when you first did Copperbell Mines, and you got to the boss? When he bust a hole in the wall to allow his buddies passage to go destroy other wall? Then, they come back to the group and gang up on the healer while the rest of the group try to burn the boss? THAT was satisfying. I'm not a fan of the current theme.

Why do I have to do that when the game itself can just have a small little box that you can check to turn off the battle music. Spotify doesn't have dungeon themes. Maybe I don't want to use youtube because the video will eventually stop. I don't understand why every suggestion somebody makes has to be met with a bandaid fix. I just want to turn off the boss music.
