I like the boss music, but I've heard it so many times, I'd honestly rather just listen to the dungeons background music.

System configuration > Sound settings > BGM - 0 > YouTube > Win?
While we're at it I would loveeeeee an option to turn battle music off in general. Always interrupts the nice music playing already.
WoW does this by default. Don't see why Square Enix couldn't offer us the option. Since when I played WoW I had to use DeadlyBossMods-VictorySound just so I could have a theme for boss battles instead of the ambient theme, as I hated the ambient theme when fighting a boss. Same reason I love FFXIV even more, is because by default we get kick-ass themes right from the get go for battle and bosses. Though I understand not everyone agrees with me so an option would be perfect.
White Mage ~ Scholar ~ PaladinBoi if you got kicked for the same thing in over 20 duties I strongly suggest you think hard on whatever the hell it is you're doing
As I'm sure you are well aware, it takes more than one person to be able to kick a player from a duty, so in all those instances there were at least two people agreeing they'd be better off without you tanking.
No need to get sassy man. I'm just saying you can easily facilitate this on your own.
Most game OST's can be found on YouTube for example, so in this case I would mute my BGM in-game and bring up a soundtrack I liked from YouTube. You could also play it via Listenonrepeat.com so it would be just like the same thing. It's an easy solution that I just thought you would like to know.
Ah right, I'm on a PC so I sadly don't know what to suggest for console players.
as a console player, I hope this works on ipad. Trial music like Thordan EX just makes me want to mute it after so many wipes and separate voice chat, and I can barely comprehend Sephi Ex.No need to get sassy man. I'm just saying you can easily facilitate this on your own.

I would love to be able to turn off battle and boss music. I can't stand the theme for the bosses anymore. I don't know why they can't just let dungeon music play the whole time instead.
Realistically, they probably won't give us an option. They don't even let us separate that stupid crowd chatter from the rest of the ambient tracks.
Q20: Will we ever be able to send tells from within an instanced area?
A20: While the feature can be implemented, it’s currently masked. It’s currently masked because we would like to prevent players from harassing each other just because they know they would never party together in the future. We will continue to monitor the situation carefully as we move forward.
Ikr, I am under the ruins of Nym, enjoying the weather, and beautiful music, I pick up a stone for the quest, an enemy appears and all of a sudden TRAMTRAMTRAMTAMTAAAAAMMMBRMBRMGHRMTRMTMBRM. I got so immersed into the world and then got a slap in the face. Ugh....
