    Crafter Blue gear il170 prices?

    Hi everyone
well I'm trying to level up all my crafting classes up to 60
the problem is the server I'm in now is very pricey like a full melded piece will cost 10 mil easy. and one set with access will cost me 87mil I calculated it in MB
btw my server is Behemoth NA and I was in Ragnarok EU similar prices but less in 2mil for each piece

can you help me guys with the cheapest server that can sell blue crafters gear for good amount of gil?

one told me that jap servers are cheaper like ful melded piece will cost 800k and that's waaaaay cheaper than 10 mil right?

    I need your guidance everyone

The larger the server population the lower price for most items. This is a simply supply / demand fact. The larger the player base, the more crafter / gathers there are to compete with each other, causing prices to lower.
I used to play on Goblin, one of the smallest servers. A friend from Goblin just transferred last night, we spent about 30 minutes comparing MB prices for several items.
Everything on Gilgamesh was 30-50% the Goblin price.

For the gear you are looking at, it was about 2 mil per piece un-melded when I last looked about a week ago. The cost of Tier IV materia is a 150 - 400K per (except CP since only need one of those per piece).

You should craft your own, it will be costless
Because now the 170 stuff price will skyrocket due to the requirement of 3* craft

Looking at his lodestone, I'm guessing the OP has already picked a server, "acquired" a large amount of gil, and bought/melded a full set of 170 gear.

If you're concerned about prices, you should start by gearing up one crafter via red scrips, and then using that one to craft the rest of your gear. BSM, weaver or GSM would probably be the best starter.

thanks for your replies guys and no I didn't buya full set...yet
    and I'm GSM 60 and WVR 60 and I'm on LTHR 34
so how should I craft my gear?
when I have school and a job and only I have 2 hours to play per day?
well when that time comes probably free time gamers will be working on a whole new set for level 70 or perhaps 80
It's not an excuse I know but if you have a plan then I'm in

If you're short on time, then your first priority should be to ensure you're hitting the weekly cap on red scrips. Ideally you will be using them to get mats for crafting i170 gear, but if you can't manage to do that for all of them (and I've pretty much never used 100% of my weekly scrips this way either) then the tokens will build up and eventually you can get some of the i180 items instead. The main-hand tool and the body piece should be your first acquisitions if you go this route, since the MH has stats that will be very hard to match with the crafted tool using melds* and the body is similar.

The scrips themselves likely have some market value on their own, though this will take some research to determine whether it's worth it. You can check the MB and compare the prices of the gathered favor items compared to the prices of the mats you get with them. For instance, the price of 15 purified coke, minus the price of 10 red ooids and 10 wyvern's warts, is the value of a scrip token. You also have to compare the value of the items you're trading in for scrips, but this might be a profitable way to go. If it is, and again if you're strapped for time, you could trade in items to convert to gil and buy crafted gear that way. (This might be less effective now that these items also appear as dungeon drops though.)

Favor gathering is still the most time efficient way to get the mats for the i170 items short of buying them outright. The favors take 5 minutes to do (figure 7-8 minutes given travel time and prep work) so you should be able to squeeze a couple of those in on a semi-regular basis.

*There's a fairly popular line of thinking on the boards that the crafted MH is better strictly because you can meld 4 CP onto it. This may be true on a completely optimized build, but the stats on the i180 version are still really helpful as you're gearing up. I'm still using i180 MH tools on four of my classes including my three specialists and I can do 3* stuff just fine. If you find the time to make use of your scrips for mats though, go for the crafted ones.

As I've mentioned to some other folks, BSM is currently the best class for gearing your crafters for 2-star and above. It makes at least one i170 tool for every crafting class aside from WVR. With some good melds to i150 gear and a single red-scrip BSM tool (I'd choose the MH) you can make almost all the other classes viable. With what you have now, you could also get a GSM tool with scrips which will help you make a WVR MH. Unfortunately LTW tools are both BSM products, so those might be red scrips purchases, too, if you don't feel like leveling another class

Unfortunately being a crafter in this game requires you to invest a fair amount of time and effort to really be worth it. Rather than worrying about gearing your level 60 classes, you should probably focus on leveling all your other classes to at least 50 first, because you're going to have a hard time crafting much of anything without cross-class skills. It can be done pretty quickly if you're very determined and have some help, but even if that's not the case, you should be taking advantage of daily grand company turn-ins and the Ixal beast tribe quests (Which can get you as much as 2 levels a day!), and using your leve allotments wisely.

You're not the only one who works and goes to school. It took me until January to finally get all my crafters up to sixty, mostly by doing GC turn-ins every day (Though I didn't bother worrying about HQ...you can do it much faster if you do). It just takes patience.
