So instead of being immersed in the lore of why the requirements for flying are what they are, you'd rather pay Gil to magically learn the airflow? And this is less immersion breaking?

OP, flying is one of the best parts of this expansion, you are really missing out. It is really well done.
As long as you can access the zone, you can ride with someone with a 2-seater mount. I just flew someone around 2 zones last night collecting all the Aether Current spots and then he just had to complete the quests/dungeons for the final unlock.

Just do the simple mini game and unlock flying.

Personally I had a lot of fun doing it with another person.

If you have any friends who have a dual flying mount they might be willing to help you do it faster if you are really against such a simple game.

I don't think anyone here ACTUALLY READ what I was asking for. I wasn't asking for them to make flying different or change any of the quests. I am asking for an indicator to let us KNOW what quests need flying.

they read. Most of the responses are people telling you to stop being lazy and just unlock it already. If you unlock them as you can reach them, you should NEVER run into a quest that requires flying when you don't have it.

Oh it's possible to pick up a quest that requires flying before unlocking flying. I managed to pick up that pet rescue quest in Coerthas Western, which appears to require flying, before I had flying. I then proceeded to waste time trying to figure out if I could get to that pet without flying.

It's more like this, at the point the quests which require flying become available, you have had all the possibilities to get the flying. All the quests that require flightng are in the "second wave" of quests of a zone, when you have, if you'd followed the questline (main and side) gone through the zone already, done all required quests and had reasonable chance to pick up all he currents.

Those who stumble to the fly requiring quests before they have flying tend to be those who cherry pick what quests they do, and ignore getting the currents when it's easiest, that is, just picking them up along the way when doing the first wave of the quests of the zone.

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

I actually agree with you - as far as the quest indicator on the mini-map goes. I was just lamenting to my FC the other day about a couple daily quests for the Vanu in Sea of Clouds, that literally have three elevations of land on top of the quest target circle. If it isn't a daily quest you've done often, it's annoying to figure out which elevation the actual quest target is on, so I start at the top....nope, not there. Work my way down. I finally figured out it's on the lowest island. The same can be said, although to a lesser extent, for some of the new Gnath daily quests in the Forelands.

Therefore, yes, an indication on the quest target indicator on the mini-map would certainly be a quality of life improvement for zones with different elevations.

I do, however, think it really isn't a big deal to unlock flying, and frankly, there are plenty of other quests during the leveling process where I was running around like a headless chicken to find and those didn't even require flying...

Oh, we read. We just think your position is laughable. If you spent as much energy just playing the game and getting the unlocks over with as you do whining about how you don't have the unlocks and aren't going to, the quest marker would be a non-issue.

Because they don't feel like putting in the "annoying, pointless busywork" into the code in order to give some impatient douchenozzle an icon when they basically give flying away for free.

Street goes both ways, you know.
