    Quests that REQUIRE Flying

    Dear Square Enix,

If you are going to include quests in the Churning Mists that REQUIRE flying, can you please add a special mark to the game that TELLS us that you need flying in order to complete these quests.

I am tired of running around, only to find the target is so few feet in the air above me. I have absolutely 0 interest in flying because of the requirements for it and I am not running around to unlock flying for a questing area that I'm never going to come back to after I have finished levelling there. (As I don't do alts or any of that obsessionist crap, I just want to enjoy the game on one class only.)

However it would be nice to know if a Quest requires flying or not so that I know I can ignore it and move on to other quests otherwise its just a gigantic waste of my time.

Other then that, the expansion has produced the best content for this game by far, most of the characters are much less annoying with their redone voices and I feel that the overall quality of this expansion is excellent.

You will pretty much require flying at level cap to get anywhere in a timely fashion and a lot of quests do ultimately require you to have it (a good deal of Sea of Clouds for example).

You won't be able to traverse most of Sea of Clouds or Azys Lla for any reason without flying.

I'd say just go for unlocking it, then you'll have it. I personally enjoyed the unlocking process but even if you don't like it, it's really not that bad.

Once you have it you can go back to those areas for Relic grinding on FATEs, gathering, rare mobs or whatever else you might find out you need later.

Whether you enjoy unlocking flying for the areas or not, flying is pretty much required in the new areas. It may not seem like it at first, but it will become apparent very quickly.
Really you will just have to suck it up and do it. If you want to expedite the process, just look up a guide for all the aether-thingies and it should only take maybe 15 minutes per area not including the ones unlocked by quests.
Flying also makes getting around much faster, so that little bit of time spent unlocking flying is more than recouped many times over just by the time you save getting around.

I'm fairly sure that even the main quest chain will require flying in the later stages of it. In Azys Lla that is actually quaranteed though there you get flying slightly less tediously than elsewhere. I'm also fairly sure MQ past 3.0 does require flying in "earlier" zones. So even if you wanted to just do the story with nothing outside of MQ, you'll need to fly sooner or later.

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

Even if you only level a single class, SE make sure you come back (MSQ or relic quests as an example)

You'll need flying in certain areas to unlock dungeons, which you'll want to do even if you only play one class. It's really not do hard to get aether currents. Google a map for all areas, the one that links to the forums is really good. Then you don't even have to use the compass and can just look at where the currents are and go there.

It's really. Not. Hard. At all.

For reasons you will find out later you will want to have flying in all the zones, it will be mandatory and lot of the quests requires flying to reach the goal.

It is much faster to travel by flying just levevling as well, it is the first thing I did in each zone so I could fly and do the questing. Made it so much nicer.

Its heavensward, if you have no interest in flying because of the reqs (a couple easy quests >.>) you literally have little to no interest in heavensward, since you won't even be able to unlock everything to do anything. There are literally zones where the land mass is separated by air, so you'd have to fly to get to another island. You can't even exit/enter a zone without flying unlocked. So good luck if you think you aren't going to unlock flying and still play 3.0 content.

There aren't really leveling zones in the game. The zones for Heavensward are the zones for Heavensward, and the game will keep sending you back to them even after cap. So yes flying is necessary.

It... really doesn't take too long. You'd have found half of them in an area in the time it took to come to the forums, log in, and make your post.
