how can i become a non-mentror?

hi all,

as much as i was excited for the mentor system, i heard the people that in the channel are garbage, and they either wana do adverts to sell their goods ( either sell runs or crafting wares ) , or just are trolls or just keep talking like in the WOW lobby about what ever, not helping the novice.

since this channel is so bad, is there a way to avoid being a mentor? i mean, i wana opt out of this service completly, i have my own way to find new players to help and i dont need this.

Go talk the the Smith guy at a adventurers guild and withdraw from the mentor program.

I would, i mean maybe when SE fixed this and we can have a system to avoid these trolls in there? i will wait and see what SE does.

I would still say at least give it a shot on your server, see what its like for yourself; if you don't like it as is, that's fair, but all I'm saying is don't discount it based on what a bunch of people on the forums are saying.

You can filter the mentor chat in your chat settings if you don't want to see the chat but still want to be able to do the mentor roulette.

There will always be a few bad eggs in any system and giving up your ability to help newbies through the system because of them is pretty sad imo.

Besides you have to opt-in to the program. By default you aren't part of it.

ok i tried it but it says if i will not be alllowed to be mentor again for 30 days.

what really anoys me in the chat message keeps coming up saysing i can't join the novoice nertwork, i wish to know how to filter that out but no idea..
