    Just a few suggestions!

    Hello Final Fantasy XIV Community,

I Have a few ideas for housing items that I would like to share!

    Outside furnishing:

Bring on the GRILL masters! (Add in a grill crafted item)

This could be an exciting new way to spice up Culinary for those wood be chef's that slave tirelessly to feed their fellow adventurers.

We currently have kettle pots and few others outdoor "eating" crafts but a grill is the ultimate outdoor cooking appliance (wood burning or coals) that could easily set an exciting social event! The grill could produce different options of food buffs for a whole party about to raid Containment Bay S1T7 Extreme! ( All other raids are also an option. )

    Just a few Ideas (Cont'd)

    In door housing items.

    The Drunken Basement!

Add in a crafted top liquor, or milk for our younger adventurers, bar shelf! A suitable place to celebrate a successful raid or drown out our sorrows upon hours of defeat.

With a little creativity, we adventurers can make our own bar but unfortunately the closest thing we have to displaying drinks is a cobweb infested Manor Cupboard with a lot of empty wine holder slots, some upright wine barrels and stall with a bunch of gemscopes placed side by side on it to poorly imitate a tap!

The best part about this is, this item actually already exists in game! Travel to Coerthas Central Highlands and inside a warm stone establishment at the Observatorium (coordinates 25.1x, 28.1y) you'll find a rather top notch bar assorted with what one could assume to be heart warming liquors and barrels of ale!

Thank you for taking the time to read my ideas! Hope it fuels more to add on to or create their own ideas!

Lastly, this one is more of a favor that i'm sure 2/3rds (closer to 7/8ths) of a small community will disagree with... but hear me out! For the love of all tanks.. Undo, or lesson, the 15% damage reduction on all tanks inside PVP!

    As it sits currently sits:

A Seasoned dps can kill the average tank, as well as the average healer.

A Seasoned healer can outlive the average dps as well as a seasoned Tank.

A Seasoned Tank can kill the average dps but CANNOT kill the average Healer

The argument can be made that tanks are supposed to tank, which is true in PVE.

PVP is a different world completely. Damage dealt and healing done are key but any one player can have 300k dmg taken on any given match, and live with a seasoned healer/ healers and the awareness to avoid and escape dangerous scenarios.

Besides that, the closest "tank class only" utilities, that are beneficial for the whole party tanks have are Thrill of War, and the tank adrenaline ability (limit break).

If a tank were to pop one of his own defensive cooldowns, it actually encourages players to target somebody else (Opposite of tanking). Also, I'd like to point out that adrenaline now takes longer to build for tanks due to the lack of dps and kills.

With this said, Scholars and Astrologians can be said to be better tanks, than tanks due to their shields they produce.

Sorry for the rambling with the tank part.. but in the small community of tanks in an even smaller community of PVP this "change" hit us right in the gut.

Thanks for taking the time to read my ideas and suggestions, I really hope for the first two to happen and pray for the third!

You can get around the 1000 character limit by simply going back and editing your first post with more information.

In regards to your idea about liquor and stuff, I'm pretty sure that would cause the game's rating in certain countries to be revoked and given a more mature rating, which would negatively impact on the game's accessibility (which SE are eager to make this game as accessible to as many players as possible - yes including kids). In fact, as I understand it some countries have very strict laws on how alcohol and drug use is shown in media - player characters simply are forbidden to be depicted consuming alcohol in any form.

Rather than have to negotiate this legal minefield for each individual country, the sort of thing that would make lawyers curl up in the foetal position and softly whimper to themselves, it's just easier to make it that players cannot be shown partaking in 'amber refreshment' (there is already wine casks and barrels available though which is probably the closest to what you're after as you mentioned).

Thanks for the tip on the 1000 character limit. Will follow that.

I never said consume tho! and I also stated "milk" for our younger audience! Also there are bars in game already displaying what could be interpreted as liquor. Also the rating Teen when the game starts up says some alcohol content (therefor it's already rated appropriately) , some characters are referred to as drunk or drunken while others talk about whine! So I doubt there are any legal issues that would be cross by adding in a bar that looks like the one in Coerthas Central Highlands at 25.1x and 28.1y to put in our own houses.
