This is correct, we could prance around traverse town hanging out with sora, riku, kairi, Leon and the gang, and have a duel with the organisation xiii and ansem and Disney can't do anything.

Basically everything except Disney licensed stuff (admittedly that is like half the game) is owned by square

They are all owned by Disney, this is why Sora appeared in Disneyland Tokyo.
Sora, Riku, Kairi and all cannot be in a game without Disney's consent.
And that's why we will never get a Dissidia - Kingdom Hearts, cause Disney doesn't like the idea.
Square only owns the FF copyrights, it is said in the game itself.

Your party fights a Behemoth (Kingdom Hearts variation) or something like that and you get rewarded apparel
Mage classes = Organization XIII robes
Tank classes = Sora's outfit
DPS = Riku

Sorry but I strongly dislike Kingdom Hearts, I think that game and Final Fantasy shouldn't be entangled, KH strays too far from traditional FF games!...

Yeah..I am not a fan of KH, and if they did do an event, I probably wouldn't bother with it. Would be good though for those who are a fan of the games.
