This is the exact reason people are complaining about the Mentor system and how it's being abused. By becoming a Mentor you are agreeing to terms and to follow good player etiquette to set an example to new players. If you're just going to become a Mentor for this reason, please don't bother.

Oh I'll give advice when asked but to say watching the chat is abusing the system is stupid. I'm not going to be one of those trolls spoiling the story and such so go away. How is watching the chat bad player etiquette lmao. From what I've heard there is already a problem with too many mentors giving advice at once and being hard to read so what's the problem if I stay silent most of the time anyway?

Because your intentions are completely backwards, you don't become a Mentor to "watch the chat" and "for the crown." Go and watch a soap if you want some drama. You are taking up someone else's spot who could genuinely want to help other people as their main intention.

So my giving advice when asked is wrong then? If drama explodes in the chat I should chat too and add to the chaos by adding more text to read? I do genuinely want to help but I'm not gonna go out of my way for people who don't want it and won't ask. And taking up another's spot lol? Last I checked it's first come first serve. Basically. If they need help I'm sure they will ask and then I'll respond. If there are 99 other mentors in the channel giving advice as well what's the big deal? Ignnis I'm restricting others access to watch drama lol? Wouldn't it be the creators of the drama who are restricting access? These forums confuse me so much with what people get upset over and jump on first.
