Yep, my WAR has 0 Issues with enmity, sure during trash packs I might have to pop off Overwhelm 2-3 times, but oh well. Frankly AoE hate should be more involved rather then 1 time and 2 in worst case. Put up your VIT gear, use your AoE in a rotation wisely, and you'll be just fine. To be honest, I love this update, I can actually sit in Deliverance more frequently then before, still keep hate, and burn things down faster, and mostly kicking over to Defiance for big raid content and large trash pulls. But for forced small pull (like barrier porter jumpers in Anti-tower) just chill in deliverance and not even sweating the healer to cure me. Ty SE.

We really don't need anymore enmity. We just need to break a bunch of bad habits we developed in the Str tank meta and adjust our rotations.

The 10% damage/enmity loss only really hurts those tanks still using rotations built for Str tanking. Once we finally adjust our rotations we will no longer have problems holding hate in content.

I have no problems with the changes in the meta. Building hate in tank stance allows for healers to open in clerics stance. Once they have to heal, pop some cds and go to pound town in DPS stance. If anything, it really just increased the skill cap for tanks. In some boss fights you can switch 4-5-10 times depending on the situations. If your healer can't keep up, you better get back in tank stance, you are the leader, you cannot die trying to get a little more DPS. Use it like a cool down after the opener.

Ummm 0 problems with either tanks for emnity....idk what to say I feel it's easy now I live in dps stance. Like so much health with proper cd there's been times where I see the healer running around in circles because of tanking boost. Of course she could of dps but meh SE made it this way (shrugs)

I've never had a problem holding aggro or getting snap aggro on any of the tank classes. I think the enmity generation at the moment is balanced enough as it is.

Zero problems here as Paladin (206) and Warrior (205). Ran through dungeons, Primals, and Midas. I feel like the enmity balance is working as intended. Gotta stay in tank stance to hold a decent chance at building any.

The argument is just having more DPS uptime. Any good tank can tank in DPS stance 100% of the time, WAR can easily cycle BB/SE combo no problem and PLD can do more Halone combo instead of RA combo if threat goes up (Still a DPS up vs having to spam more RA in tank stance btw).

If you just want to be lazy at DPS-ing, sure you can do tank stance all you want. You can choose to enjoy 400dps or optimize your stancedancing (or 100% DPS stance uptime) and do more than double of that.

Lin i don't think you can tank 100% of the time in dps stance anymore. You're free to prove me wrong but all the a5s/a6s videos I've seen have involved stance dancing and tank swapping to maintain enmity lead.

But you know what would be nice. More enmity on lob/un/war axe throw. Those are terrible in raid.

To those who are raiding now as tanks, getting full set i220s = minimum 940 AP. Previously at full str build, 1k++ AP. The difference is getting smaller and smaller.

When I was doing A6S yesterday, I could still do DPS stance opening pull (given if you have a NIN). Maintaining aggro is harder for sure, but it's still doable and will be easier once tanks get more gears for more AP.

Note: Pulled 1.2k DPS until the 1st boss of A6S jumps to middle with 4 mirages. Totally possible.

Haven't the AP values for all other jobs increased also? Meaning that relative to others you have gained nothing, even though on an absolute scale you have. The difference in AP between current gear and pre 3.2 may be narrowing, but thats a factor of gear power creep, and your damage is still reduced vs pre-3.2.
