    Please give us more emnity

Post 3.2 as a 210 drk in full vit so far has been a nightmare. My emnity generation seems to be destroyed. Midas savage and Seph. EX are already difficult enough without having to struggle for emnity. I'm not a beginner tank either, but i just feel like our total emnity generation took too much of a hit. All comments and opinions are welcome.

Strange...as a PLD 198 and a DRK 206, I had absolutely no issue keeping hate on new dungeons and Midas.

On my PLD I even managed to rotate only on GB and RA (With Shield Oath up, of course) for the entire dungeon. So, unless the DPS I ended up with were really bad (Despite being better geared than me), I see no issue there.

They actually did increase the enmity generation on this patch, to every tank job in their respective tanking stances. Now if you try to tank out of tank stance you have yourself to blame, if you still struggle in the tank stance.. I have no words..

If you say 'pls' because it's shorter than 'please', I say 'no' because it's shorter than 'yes'.

For once in 3.x, PLD did get the better end, with the reduced damage penalty on Shield Oath and the enmity boost on Savage Blade.

I have no issues as a DRK it's pretty easy to maintain and generate threat it's more about the player then the class people used to use their threat combo then switch immediately into DPS stance/drop grit. You'll know a good tank that knows when to DPS and when to go back into stance to build more threat also, tanks who have a lot of gear compared to undergeared tanks will be able to do more DPS/generate more hate then an undergeared one. I'm not telling you to "git gud" just tanking takes a more careful route to where if you drop out of tank stance it can mean a dps/healer/your death because you weren't ready.

    DRK main reporting in (i214).

It seems that you talk about "total enmity" here so i ll consider that you mean even with grit on, am i right?

So far i feel the exact opposite. The Grit enmity now is so enormous than in Midas / Seph i sometimes dont even have to cycle DA/PS.

I feel it very easy on adds etc too. Sometimes i grab them and think "man this is not enough you will loose them" but it never happens.

My only concern is about enmity dropping a lot outside of Grit. In this case yes there is pretty much no room for dropping grit as a MT now.

Anyways so far in relevant content the ennemies tend to hit a lot more so i wont probably drop Grit before i get more gear and confidence so it is a non issue.

I ve been really happy being a DPS tank in the past, with blood weapon etc. But i also like the new "more HP + Grit all the time + More Enmity = More mitigation" trend especially now that bosses and adds are really dangerous. Feels "tankier" as intended.

Nah, emnitys fine. Sounds like you got an easy carry with STR gear and can't git gud with the new meta and how tanking used to be like.

I think its less about enmity and more about patch day circumstance. It's quite easy to become lower geared than others this early into the patch. (last week my i206 PLD was great, this week, that's a little bit on the low side), I'd wait until you are well into your gear upgrade, and see how your enmity is then.

I'm not saying your gear is low, im saying that 210 yesterday is much higher than 210 today, and you need to adjust to that

What you said is absolutely correct . I took 5 ilevels on my main on the 1st week and plan on being 220 next week (getting 3 items from midas is easy, plus one 230, the rest will be 220 crafted and meld since they are quite cheap on my server - i mean around 1.5 million per armor piece maximum).

As far as i remember this is the first patch to introduce a very fast boost to the intermediate level like that (the ilvl230 240 tier will be long tho).

Also they have been fair with us tanks since we can meld STR on the first slots of our right side. Our attack power is split between between VIT and STR. No doubt that a full STR meld right side will give some significant boost (i just meld two pieces and already feel it).

Imho our tanks are just in standby before reaching at least i220.

Honestly for PLD, Sword oath tanking didn't change much. still hard to pull out as much as you can with good DPS.
    @MrsFluffyButt,

You mean you're having an easier time now you can just sit in shield oath all the time doing subpar DPS cause you're a "tank"
I suppose you would also be a healer that fiddles their thumbs once the tank reached 90%+ HP instead of DPSing where you can?

Sorry if some people would like to help as much as they can even if their primary job isn't to DPS.
