Capping Lore tomes = convert lore to poetics

It seems that poetics aren't going to go away anytime soon, with most of the coils and old 2.0 trials/dungeons giving them. There is no reason to convert all the old 2.0 dungeons and trials into the new tomestones. However, gaining poetics for the relic is slower and more tedious, other than taking people through the old coils or doing the lv 50 roulette and main scenario. I've been taking my relic quest casually IE not spamming Alex and taking a month break, and I have 43/80 items. Of those, 17 are from the poetics vendor. I think that's a bit lopsided for poetics.

Not only that, but lore is fairly easy to obtain the cap currently, even without doing Midas. I have a hard time logging on once I'm done capping because there is no reason to get more esos other than gear that I don't need, and we are basically drowing in esos anyway.

If you cap your weekly lore, it would be nice to convert the lore received into poetics. It helps people get enough poetics for the relic as well as gives people a reason to log on when they are capped. Thoughts?

The bones and shells come from Alex precision parts or poetics.

You know its really not that hard to get poetics, roulettes and hunts give poetics, and I tend to have more poetics than eso without even trying. Also your logic is flawed in that overflow would convert to poetics, because that would add more currency into the world rather than being a 1:1 conversion.

I wouldnt mind a system where you can trade eso for poetics 1:1 though, that would solve your issue without there being much problem.

This. You can farm bonuses pretty reliably with certain trials. The ones listed above work as well as relic trials (Chimera and Hydra) as well as Hildebrand trials.

Not arguing that its hard to get poetics...but there is no other way to get them in Heavensward content other than hunts. The roulettes are all level 50 content. Majority of the hunts are level 50 content.
Also who cares if poetics are plentiful? Esos are plentiful and no one cares. But poetics being plentiful is an issue...why?

Hunts and beast tribe quest give you the other 2 that you may need. I see no reason for them to go out of their way to make a conversion system when they can use that time to work on other QoL improvements.

You get like 320-335+ just from MS and lvl 50 roulette. 100 bonus poe with a newbie (which happens often in MS in my experience)

That's easy and quick you get half an item (or almost one item) just from a couple roulettes.

Yeah, it's 50 content, but idk if you noticed this the relic quest line ALWAYS tries to make old content relevant again. And guess what? It worked, because people are doing MSQ roulette and level 50 dungeons.

If you don't want to do old content, get them through the HW beast tribe dailies.
Or, don't do the quest line at all

Would it be nice to get poe when capped on lore or to trade in eso for lore? Yes

You forgot another source of them. Beast Tribe dailies give a currency, and you can buy the Unidentified items f0r 13 currency each. Kobolds, Sahagin, Sylphs, Amaljaa each have one of their own. The Gundu have all four Unidentified items (at 18 currency each) as do the Vath. Do the Beast Tribe dailies that correspond to the Unidentified items you need.
