    TP / MP skillZ ... why cooldown timer?

    Hello again, everyone ,

    ... really, it sounds not meaningful to me, 'cause at the moment,

    TP actions cosume TP,
    and MP actions consume MP.

    So, you have already 'paid' some (tactical or/and magical) points to use that skill you want to activate at some moment...

    And, battle mechanics work not really adorable now: most of the time you don't really fight but WAIT for action to cool down, even if TP/MP bar is 'loaded'. It is just ... annoying :/ .


    Because of that, it should sound plausible to vote for:

    TP moves - NO cooldown timer,

    MP actions - NO cooldown timer,

    any other actions that consume either TP nor MP,
    like AutoAttack, Quickstride and so on - YES/NO cooldown timer!

    on pugilist with invigoriate and a number of basic attacks (light strike, pummel and flurry) I flood my TP-bar constantly. If there was no timer I would dish damage to world's end.

    Point is, an additional regulator is required unless they revamp the cooldown and tp system entirely.

    ..which would basically mean NO COOLDOWN AT ALL for mages..and while that would make me extremely powerful, it would also take away any suspense and therefore fun.
    I could be dishing out spells, heals and buffs like crazy and the only thing to worry about would be MP.
    Now I have to be careful to have the AoE toggle on while buffing, because I'll have to wait a minute until I'm able to rebuff them, I have to think about an appropriate time to heal someone, because if I do it at the wrong moment and the player gets hit AFTER my heal, I can't heal him for several seconds, etc.
    That's more interesting than just slamming buttons until my MP bar is empty.

    No cooldown for TP moves = PGL and LNC destroying everything. (Victimize II/Simian Thrash) (Doomspike II/Chaos Thrust)
    No cooldown for MP spells = THM destroying everything. (Shadowsear)

    And people are already complaining about balancing issues. That would be insane...

    The real question that needs to be answered in this thread isn't only why skills was spelled with a z, but a capital z?

    As for cool down timers, it's necessary, especially for magic, for the devs to control the pace of battle.

    Can you imagine what would happen if eight mages could just spam their spells? The mana burns of XI would come back in a big way.
