    PS4 - Error CE-30022-7 / Unable to download patch files [20512][25008][20525] Error

    This is the 3rd day after the patch and I am still unable to finish patching. I get to the same point just about every time. 625-627mb of 3715mb and the screen goes black and then comes back with the error I listed in the subject.

    This is not a new error from what I have been reading and occurs quite often after a new patch. I have tried patching at different times of the day and still same results, so probably not a load issue.


    Need some assistance here, because I feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall and the wall is winning.

    Things I have tried

    I have tried Wi Fi, I have tried using my phone as a hotspot. All with the same result. Is there a fix for this? This is 3 days of my subscription that has gone to waste, with no solution in sight.

    I am having the same issues, I have lost 6 days so far trying to find a way to update. Tech Support keeps telling me to go to my ISP yet, I've already talked to them and they are blaming the SE Servers.

    PS4 - Error CE-30022-7 / Unable to download patch files [20512][25008][20525] Error

    So, it's been 6 days.

    Patch 3.2 is totally ruined for us, we missed on our chance to enjoy the story with our friends and community, we missed our chance to enjoy battle content and learn them with our friends from scratch, we missed our chance to make Gil from impulse buyers in Marketboard, we have been spoiled on everything, we have lost all dailies and weeklies, and we been robbed of 6 days of our hard earned money of our subscription, AND our ISP bills that will be through the roofs for those of us with data caps.


    I could forgive all these. I really could.
    But Square-Enix has not even acknowledged the issue, has not replied to the numerous topics here with what happened with that error [CE-300022-7] and even then, I took the advice of fellow players, killed my data cap for the month, deleted the entire 40 GBs of data from my PS4, and redownloaded it.
    Then I logged in and started to download the patches.

    Going to work all day, when I returned......


    "Unable to download patch files [20512][25008][20525]"


    I'm sorry, but I want to know how I can get an immediate refund of my current six month subscription + six month of 6 extra retainers to FINAL FANTASY XIV worth of 116.40 Euros that I bought last week, basically where I can get a live rep to talk through it right now.


    Unless Square Enix issues an official response immediately, promises to fix the issues by tomorrow, and extends our subscriptions the whole week of downtime.

    Not that this would make things right, as 3.2 is 100% ruined for us.

    I'm also affected by the CE error.

    I'd gladly delete the game and reinstal as I'm fortunate enough to not have the data cap with my ISP, but I've got a different reason that I can not do that that will also cost me extra to do it.

    I had bought the PS3 collectors edition when it release, and when the PS4 version came available, I did the one time free upgrade to the PS4 version. So deleting that would mean I'd have to rebuy the game and expansion all over again in order to reinstal and "fix" that CE error.

    Someone really needs to address this, because we're still paying the monthly sub for a game we can not even play for almost a week.

    I never thought of this. I also had done the same thing, bought PS3 Collector's Edition, and upgraded for free on PS4.
    Do you think we will have a problem?

    I deleted the whole install, and went to my Library and found FFXIV:ARR there and re-downloaded it alongside its add-on Heavensward.
    Right now I'm trying to install the patches a 2nd time (5 GB/9.5 GB so far, crosses hands), if for any reason any problem happens again and I can't access my paid product, and Square-Enix doesn't officially respond by tomorrow, I may have to pursue this legally.

    I will still be demanding my 6 days back even if all goes well, because I have been locked out of what I paid for these 6 days, without a word from Square-Enix.

    If it's any consolation to help ease your mind. I did a full complete wipe and reinstall and I still can't get in. Didn't even get even a little bit farther ahead on the update before it crashed just like the last 200+ times I tried updating. So honestly, I almost want to just strongly advise against it. It just made me more angry that I reinstalled everything and ended up with the same result.

    6 days of my time card absolutely freakin wasted. The customer service hours are the most inconvenient that I have ever seen. But I'll be calling and speaking to chat support tomorrow when I get home from work. I won't leave the chat till i'm reimbursed for the time I've lost. Since clearly this isn't an error on our end.

    Shout out if you guys get any successful uploads between now and 5pm EST monday! I'll post results here.

    Well, I'll definitely be holding off on deleting and full reinstalling, that's for sure. Sorry to hear you still had issues even after sitting through the lengthy reinstal. I hope some reps see this and bring it up to the devs, or someone who can do something about it. Even if its not as wide spread as I thought it was, I still think enough of us here are raising a stink strong enough to take notice.

    I'd be happy with just a small note from someone in charge saying that they acknowledge this as an issue and are looking into it. Just so we feel less like we're hung out to dry, lol.

    Yes, still an issue.

    Yes, this is still an issue. No reply and now I see other threads popping up about the same thing. Can we get an official response please? At least something that acknowledges that you are aware of the issue?

    I have been trying to do this ever since the patch came out.

    After 2 days of this, I tried uninstalling XIV and reinstalling entirely + Heavensward. Now instead of failing to update the small 1GB update, Its failing to update ALL updated that have been released leading up to the latest. So now I am in an even worse off position.
    Tried again and again over the next few days, No luck. Then two nights ago my sub ran out, I decided to just say to hell with it I quit. Then someone messages me on skype going "Hey! There was an update, everything is fixed now!"

    So I resub, Install the game again, Get ready to update. and oh look~

    So... No luck.
    Going to try just installing ARR without HW to see if that is the culprit.
