Please let us socket materia without crafting

I don't think it's reasonable to ask for a major change in the game just to suit a few people who absolutely refuse to interact with others or put in any work.

I think it's pretty reasonable to ask for since there's been a major change in gear. Now every piece of gear going forward (or at least most) is going to have meldable slots whereas before it was only on crafted gear.

And I know people that can meld my gear; I just think it's annoying to have to ask someone to do something that really is an extremely simple process. I look at materia melding the same way I look at those mender npc.

Cause is it really that hard to ask a friend or shout for a crafter to meld your gear and have to deal with other people outside your raiding team?

Hardcore Raider. Will do what they need to do to get BIS. Which inturn Means leveling crafts, or having a member of the raid group have all 60 crafts and your done.

that why people say that melding must'nt be crafter stuff, because actually the hard part is to get the dark matter and the materia. worst the crafter gears don't even affect the success rate.

reading the people here in that thread, the hardest part is leveling up a crafter to 60 or to use the chat.
Nobody here complained about the hurdle to get the catalysts or the materias for the meld.

I didnt realize it was harder than A4S on release date to find a crafter to meld something for you for free in other servers.

On famfrit I could warp to shire and ask for a meld and get bombarded with people offering a meld for free. I didnt realize how much of a struggle other servers have. Most likely SE will cave in and grant an NPC to meld items for people.
