And the crafters are greedy comments start. Should have expected it tbh.

I think the requirements are too light, you should be required to have more than just that job at 60. For i210-230 gear, 2 star minimum stats. For i240+, 3 star minimum stats.
But seriously, it's not that difficult to meet the requirements, and I would welcome being bugged less for melding by people that have no idea what they are doing.
Serious question, and not trying to be rude.
You get like one piece a week? Is it really so bad to sit in Idylshire and shout : looking for -insert craft here- for meld pls?
Like I get that you want to do them yourselves but is it really as bad as people are making it out to be?
IDK about your servers but on leviathan if you ask someone for a meld of one item they will gladly do it.
It's not hard, but it's a nuisance of a system that really adds nothing to the game in my eyes. I'd think differently if the act of melding actually required the crafter to actually craft, but it doesn't. It's an NPC level action that, for some reason, only the crafters of light can do.Serious question, and not trying to be rude.

The only compelling argument I can see for keeping melding only in the hands of crafters is if said crafters are trying to make a buck off of melding. I don't really like that idea either but it's more convincing than "can't you just go shout in Idylshire?".
There are quite a few of those in this game sadly.
Also I have to laugh at the person saying its dropping a ball in a hole. Even if it is that doesn't give your argue credit, hell there is loads of stuff in this game that doesn't make sense due to well...its a game..

So, are large numbers of players having trouble getting anyone to meld for them? Is it holding up people's progression and causing genuine hardship?
Or is this just about people feeling so entitled that actually having to work for something or make a simple request to another player seems like a horrible imposition?
Seriously!
I too find it ironic that raiders often tout the "You need to put time into what you want" but when the shoe is on the other foot, it's too tedious.
I'm not sure I've seen a raider say that. As far as I have seen is just, "things that require higher skill to get should be better". Do you have any quotes to which you are referring?
That raises the question however. What is a suitable price for the NPC to ask for.
50 alexandrites for each time
You don't have to be a master crafter, just lv60
