Why do we have a "NOOB" Warning in the game?

This isnt a winge or a moan, but we are not allowed 3rd party programs like dps meters purely because they allow players to discriminate against other players, yet the game literally brands "NOOB" onto a players forehead when he enters a raid/trial for the first time, i have only recently got to level 60 and im at 220 ilvl with my drk, i have 10 years of tanking experience in raids on wow, and i literally get discriminated against because of the ffxiv tramp stamp of the noob, (a player has not completed this dungeon/raid before you will recieve a bonus, feel free to figure out who it is, and abuse the living shit out of him before any combat has taken place), i mean seriously anytime i try to do current content i either get - Were looking for experienced players or You must have killed the boss already, and im just sitting here playing afk simulator raiding idyllshire all day every day thinking how the actual F am i supposed to get that experience with this tramp stamp on my forehead

That's what learning parties are for. Does it suck having to do that? Yes, yes it does. But from their perspective, you are MUCH more likely to screw up the entire fight for them than someone that's already cleared it.

Have you ever complained about being thanked for the bonus?

Hence all those people selling kill runs so you can get the achievement and finally join some group.

You go clear content and try farming it and have a 'new player' join every run.

See how long it takes until you resort to saying 'No bonus'.

(Though, your completely relevant 10 years of WoW tanking experience should have taught you this already. Right?)

Mostly because we asked for it - before that you had to prove that you've killed the content by other means (I remember going to MD to show off primal weapons when you wanted to do some Titan EX). It is just extremly frustrating when you go into content, wipe a few times just to find out that one or more people dont have a real idea whats going on. While that might not apply to you it applies to a lot of people - be it EX-primals, raids or even just normal dungeons. I've often enough seen dungeon-runs where no one spoke up about not knowing the mechanics/fights, wiping the group two, three times until they said "sorry, I'm new" - yeah, thank you, couldnt you've said that BEFORE you killed us twice?

So, in theory this message is in place to give everyone a heads up - practically there is a huge problem with the attitude towards newbies (because, no, this message doesnt make you a noob, it just lets everyone know that you're new) but also vice versa - just as you described "Have fun figuring out who the new person is" - we shouldnt have to do that. A simple "Hi, I'm new any advice is apperiacted" should fix that... in an ideal world...

If you have confidence and know the entire fight and get through it without making any mistake just message the party leader explaining to them to allow you to join. I have done so on multiple occasions and got my clear that way. In regular 4-man dungeon and in the 24 man raid it doesn't matter much at all.

The main issue with the noob warning is that it does not state who the noob is.

In my opinion the bonus could also last for three clears instead of one.

Honestly I don't like the discrimination the Bonus has when it comes to people. If you're in a farm party and someone has bonus, people are going to ask, and if someone's said they've been to enrage, then people are either going to drop them entirely or give them one shot. It's weird.

But lately I've seen a lot of people cry over "Bonus" when everyone in the PF puts up Farm for Sephirot.
