Please Remove the Materia Melding Crafter Restriction

I find it saddening, because the benefits of leveling "all" combat classes to 60 are probably far smaller than the benefits of leveling "one" craft to 60 ._.'

lol... I've got my crafts leveled pretty decently and I feel like they only serve one purpose... "making gil". Tell me again about how they provide all these wonderful benefits. Most people can't even make the 3star due to requirements. Some crafts like blacksmith don't serve hardly any purpose other than glamor. I guess I get to look nice, what a wonderful benefit.

The hardcore raiding community don't like powerful crafted items because they are "the easily obtained item". So we don't really see any powerful crafted items rendering crafting almost useless without overmelding.

Level up culinary when you're idling in Idyllshire. Any food you make you can use yourself for free for all content.

Actually you can get food for free sometimes if your in an FC that supplies fruit bowls, etc... They are not much but every little bit helps.

Sometimes FC crafters will even give you food for free if you ask.

u cant compare food with materia....not even close , food cost 30k for 30 min ,materia once sloted is permanent bonus ,and u cant change gear so fast , example lore gear now , if u dont raid savage u are waiting until wine is avaliable in Void ark weekly (3.3 probably ) , upgrade a piece every othe week.

if u raid all that is meaningless since u are already melding , using food and potions. Being a raider isnt cheap at all , is a huge gil / time sink itself. If u dont craft all the gil goes to food/potions , if u craft all your free time goes to farm and craft food and potions (crafting 1 at the time of course ¬¬ )

Nevermind that there's no restriction on converting gear into materia...a process which logically WOULD require a specialist.

And Slappah, most crafters I've run into expect tips for doing this kind of stuff. They don't do it for free. This is going to turn into FFXIV's version of the tele-taxi's we saw in XI.

I haven't seen a single crafter demand a tip. Not one. I know I personally have done melds for tons of people for free as have the other crafters on my FC. I'm calling BS here. Making things up to support your argument actually does the opposite.

Same. I will do melds for free if asked and I am not in the middle of something. Tips are appreciated but I don't expect them and thinks anyone that expects more than a 10k tip for hitting a button should be ashamed of themselves. I craft for myself and maybe once every 6 months sell an item on the mb. Am I filthy rich? No. But I'm at a comfortable 3mil... do I want more gil? I don't see much reason to need it. I don't raid. I don't need top end gear. I enjoy my pace and do hunts.

I'm sorry, but 8 months after the level cap raise and the highest crafting class you have is 54 CUL means you do not craft. You might have crafted in the past, but currently you do not actually craft. Also the fact that you think repairing yourself is worse than repairing at a NPC is somewhat laughable. It takes 1 inventory space and takes roughly 2-5 seconds to repair anywhere you please. Going to a NPC requires you to take the time to actually go to the NPC which is more than a few seconds and the NPC also doesn't allow you to go above 100% durability.

And I have to agree with the above assessemnt. I have gotten 3 crafters to all 60 since Heavensward came out. and I got #2 and 3 jsut doing the daily GC turn ins. Repairing youself doe not require reams of dark matter if you're extremely space conscious you can just carry all g6 materia. A stack lasts a while.

And how would you know what I have or have not seen? Have you hacked into my computer and are watching everything on my screen as it happens? I wouldn't think to call your experiences a lie, so don't you dare call my experiences a lie either. Your baseless arguments have no merit and YOU are BS.
